Just having a nose around in anticipation for my OR turning up in July (fingers crossed.)
I was curious on how the OR would work with 3D films and found a bit of software called VRplayer.

Has anyone with a DK1 had any experience with this?
Seems quite promising.![]()

Didn't try that one, but did use the virtual cinema one - http://www.uxground.com/. Needless to say resolution was the main issue but it was a nice wee demo showing possibilities outside of gaming. And it is weird watching a 3D film on a 2D screen that only existed in a 3D generated world! But it definitely does work.
I suspect the difference with what you linked to is that it'd be like showing the cinema screen only and none of the rest of the environment, and that the image would be fixed in place.
Second in the queue! Although, I suspect there may be others before us elsewhere.![]()
Couldn't see myself on the list. I wonder what percentage of the total that list is as it's partial?
It's a user maintained list (primarily Reddit users), not sourced from Oculus or anything.
Would this thread serve?Didn't find direct thread so created a new one.
I'm going to wait for the Oculus Rift till it's out of development. The DK2 is designed for people to test out and report back any issues in games that support it.
Is it still the same as the first one and a bit low res?
The AMOLED 5.7-inch display has 2560 x 1440 resolution – which gives you 513ppi (pixels per inch). This compares with the iPhone’s retina display resolution 326 ppi, and the Galaxy S5’s 432.
