Hardware & Technical Twist has broke on my T-Flight Hotas! What now?

I am currently using the HAT for rudder now. That wont last long will it! ?

Whats the next joystick up from this bad boy? Is there one that isn't in the £100 range?

Thanks!

Might be a wire has come loose, in which case open the joystick up and get yer soldering iron out.

If that fails, well, getting a replacement HOTAS X is pretty cheap anyways :)

If you are on a budget, Thrustmaster HOTAS X is an excellent choice.
This. You did say you wanted a joystick, so on the off chance that's all you need the Logitech 3D Extreme is a kick butt stick for about half your stated budget. I use the 3D as a stick (as it has a lot of extra buttons) with the Thrustmaster throttle controls. Works great.

There is no middle ground in HOTAS sticks after the T-Flight. The next up is the X52 which is about three times the price.

If you need a joystick, I agree with shadragon and say get a 3D pro or Extreme.

If you need a HOTAS, you're probably going to start having to look in the slightly more expensive range. I'm using an X52, but I'm probably going to upgrade to the X55. The Warthog is out of the question for Elite, since the stick doesn't twist (a glaring oversight that makes it a complete waste of money, imo)

I have the same stick as you and the others are right, there's a rocker on the throttle you can use. My son, who uses this stick, prefers the rocker to the twist and mapped control to there anyway.

Buy another one. The next up are the Saitek range which are 3 times the price and three times more likely to fall apart, and you can get a lot of replacement HOTAS X for the price of a Warthog.

Same setup, wouldn't change it for a Warthog. Add some cheap racing peddles for Yaw (I did) and you're sorted.

I started with the TM X.
Tried X52Pro and Warthog.
X52pro had too much POVs but to less buttons.
Warthog feels good but i missed the twist. The Thruster and its buttons (mostly switches) are to hard to use for me.
I was so used to play with my loved X that i bought another one.. and another one.
The first one worked for less than a year. The 2nd one is still in use and i don't treat it like the first one. Got another one in stock.

If you are used to play with a specific HOTAS, it's hard to change.

Thanks for the replies. I bought another T flight in the end. And I'll get another one when that breaks! I might have a go with the soldering iron. It continually twists left once twisted...

I play FA Off so I can't use the rockers on the back of the throttle because I am so used to using left and right thrust. I use all 6 axi pretty much all the time!

I junked my FF sidewinder pro because windows stopped drivers for them! What a mistake! :(
