The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

It was 2020 ;)

CDPR made it 2077, as 2020 is too close to be realistic. I am also awaiting that! If the world's not gonna go to hell by then, we're in for helluva treat :)

Heh. You're right! Post fail - especially as I'm within arms reach of the rulebook. :D [Actually, looking at my copy, it has 'Cyberpunk VERSION 2.0.2.0' on the spine, and 'The Second Edition' on the front cover - so what was the first? To Google! :D ]

Well done Lobs :) rep given, wasn't a very hard question for your pedigree. But yes, 2077 is really peeking my interest. With so little to go on for now its near impossible to guess how cdpro are going to come at it. All we really have is that very intriguing trailer video from ages ago.

They have a lot of material to work with though from the cyberpunk world so I'm confident at least storewise it'll be amazing.

I just started playing some Witcher 3 again... And I've learned how to use custom resolutions way better. I also stitch together multiple shots into panoramic pics.

Here are some shots. :)
Enjoy!

Thanks fellas. I do have one issue though... If you look at these pics it's obvious I always put the object of interest to the left. Why is that?? :/

Indeed amazing shots! However I'd like to see them in 4k res. I finished the game on 4K and words fail to describe what amazing experience it was. Tis the future.

My rig can't handle TW3 at 4k. But pixel increase only removes visible aliasing. I'm talking angles, photography techniques, cinematic 21:9 aspect rations and portrait ratios etc. And these screens are downscaled due to browsing limitations. :)

Makes me want to go replay it again...for the third time. My wife would probably divorce me though. I don't think I can say enough good things about the game and the studio. I suppose the best thing to say would be "they promised big things, hyped big things...but delivered even more". These days of developers both big and small promising the earth but delivering little it's great to see CDProject bucking the trend and showing them all how it's done.

Yeah me too!

I'm waiting for the 2nd expansion though and then I plan to mod it heavily and start a new playthrough :)

I am too debating if I should replay Witcher 3 again bevore the next Expansion comes, or if I should use my current Save. Or, maybe, Replay through Witcher 1,2 and 3. Its impossible to find the time, but maybe I try it anyway :D

ooooooo. replaying all 3? thats a massive undertaking.

its funny really but i never finished the first game - i got to the swamps near vizima and it just broke my will to play it after the game corrupted its save and i lost all my progress.

The second game just completely pulled me into the world and i replayed that several times. So when the third was announced and the hype got bigger and bigger i was initially very disappointed to hear it was going down that whole "open world" direction. I dislike open world games as they tend to be samey and repetitive and homogenous in their presentation and gameplay. HOWEVER. Again CDProject showed them all how its done and produced the best example of an open world game that i have ever played. It just never showed those cracks in the immersion that every other open world game ive played has been plagued with.

Ive reinstalled it and is currently finishing up all unexplored marks and stuff like that. Gonna keep doing it until Blood and Wine is released, then ill fire up a New Game+ and off we go for a second playthrough :)

As a sidenote I just wanna throw in how much I wanted to vomit when I heard Fallout4 managed to bribe itself into "rpg of the year" at the DICE awards…
It just tells me how little those awards really care when a superb masterpiece that lifts the genre a tonne can "lose" to a mediocre, bugridden dull game as F4...

Don't mind the awards mate. The latest Tomb Raider won the Writers Guild Award......
I love Bethesda, but Game of the Year should've gone to The Witcher 3, without a doubt.

Hmmm I did enjoy fallout 4 but at some point I just got bored with it and setup a new game on witcher 3 instead. I know it sounds a bit tin foil hat conspiracy of me but I do think that main stream media sites have begrudgingly accepted witcher 3 as a game of the year and found any excuse not to give it the full glory it deserves.

Have they released a date for the next expansion yet?

Sorry for being a lazy git and not looking it up for myself, but I'm in a compromised nav beacon right now and waiting for shields to charge.

Was supposed to be anytime now in Q1 but I think latest word from the devs is "not yet" so really I think into summer would be more likely at this point.

Thanks Jezzah - Saved me a few mins on Google :D I can wait - I just re-discovered this game called Elite Dangerous and I'm hooked again!
