Ooops... While trying to catch up to the main fleet I found a binary system where the two stars were very close together. In the process of refueling I wasn't paying enough attention and went a little bit too close between then and cooked my ship. This would have been less of a problem if then during repairs I didn't unintentionally emergency drop my ship out of Frameshift while fixing the drive. This caused even more damage than the stars did! All up I'm still in decent condition (mostly) after repairs, but that was more resources spent than I was expecting this early on. However, I did turn around and get my new desktop background. >.<

Yes, I'm flying an Imperial Courier, but damn it looks good. ;) Probably won't make it to Beagle Point but hey, I'm enjoying the trip thus far...when I'm not toasting marsh mellows on the dash... :D

Absolutely fantastic morning people. I'll upload what screenshots I got when I get home.
Quote of the day at the meetup comes from Zulu Romeo himself... "A supermassive formation for a supermassive object."

I was a sad panda yesterday, having been at Sgr A* an hour early (but after midnight for me) I spent 15 mins trying to get a wing invite and then the server dropped everyone out just as I entered the instance. Had to give up and go to bed and didn't get a screenshot :(

I just noticed on my launcher that Server Status was "Offline"
yea, you know it's funny when that happens, every TS member saying they been kicked or servers are offline while I never crashed out and just continued to explore X3

Edit:And yesterday at the Sag A meet up even being 2km away from the main bulk I had someone jump in against me Anaconda against anaconda. At least I had 2 pips into shields otherwise that hit would have instantly killed my shields. I put 4pips to shields right after that.

For those that missed the event as they couldn't get in the same instance the key thing is communication. Either via teamspeak or Discord, get invited to a wing with someone who is already there, and once there drop from the wing to allow more people in. That's how it was done and it worked well until we reached 100, and then the drops started.
If you are not in teamspeak or Discord I recommend it, not only for the event, but for the banter that went on yesterday with Dr. Kaii, it was superb, best moment in ED so far.

Doing better than me. I seem to be getting approx 4K ly per day. I keep getting distracted with interesting places and screenshots. >.<

Sooo ... I was bored, and yesterday got me asking myself something. We had about 1/10 of the official PC fleet assembled, and it already looked like something out of the Dominion War. How grand, exactly, is the entire grand fleet of Distant Worlds?

Well, thanks to Janichsan's excellent ship comparison chart, I was able to come up with this very rough work-in-progress answer ...

... and then Photoshop broke.
