Right now any canisters that you scoop are considered as stolen. However, this is not registered as theft in stats unless you are successfully cargo scanned with stolen items.
yes i have seen this when ive taken them from other ships i have destroyed
Why cant you reliably cargo scoop yet? i hope your not like me and send it flying off in the distance lol, it takes me an age to scoop hehe.
@ Aleksej - Thanks. That makes sense - although the Feds' don't scan you yet.
Yes - Although capturing cargo is a pain, I can do it now 90% of the time and often come back to dock with 5-7 items of up to £15k in value, so a nice little earner.
For those of you that struggle how to capture cargo take a look at you tube vids for guidance.
Top tip is to:
a) Keep your speed very low on contact <15kph
b) keep the cargo within the blue box at all times (accessed by deploying your cargo scoop)
c) Keep the cargo just below the middle point, not in the middle as you might expect. Having said this, point B still stands
d) At the point of making contact - nose down in to the cargo
e) If you miss and it bounces off, reverse up and start again.
Well worth doing as you can earn a lot of money from it. I have a fully supped up Cobra and £100k in the Bank and only been playing a week... Which is a nice head start for when trading opens for business.
Thanks.

Kudos on your income, however expect to find it all wiped when Alpha 4.0 comes.
More as a FYI so you know to expect it and not freak out when it happens![]()
