Release EDSM - Elite Dangerous Star Map

Error in distance between "Wredguia WG-Y b55-3" and "Wredguia QY-D b39-0"

The distance was calculated as 844.71 LY, it's actually 844.75 LY. Got a screenshot if you want confirmation.

Another issue is with Wredguia XI-T b58-5 , in order to get coordinates for it I had to remove/hide the correct distance to some system that I cant remember (968.64 LY or something), and then it complains for the measured distance of 67.70 LY to Wredguia JV-Y b55-2 , it instead wants it to be 67.77 LY.

Seems to be an sissue with Wredguia JV-Y b55-2 , another error now from Wredguia JO-X c28-10

Do you have a suggestion on what I should do with these errors, should I just hide the distances, or leave them visible and report when I find something?

I've also had some issues adding distances to the following systems, there's some issue with the system names:

Ghost of Jupiter Sector JR-W c1-4
HIP 101141
Wregeia XC-T b58-9
Plaa Euek FQ-A b55-1
Lupus Dark Region B Sector GG-Y d86
NLTT 5457
Lupus Dark Region B Sector PH-V b2-5
Ophiuchus Dark Region B Sector EB-X c1-7
Synuefai FZ-Z b49-0
Plaa Euek FQ-A b55-1
Core Sys Sector CB-0 a6-2

To add distances to unknown systems you must look for them from the homepage in order to add them in EDSM. We do that to avoid manual input and errors in names.

When a distance shows wring pleas to not hide it, it leads to much trouble preventing future trilateration trilateration.
Report them to us, I force a recalculate and now all distances are good. What you can do is click on the check coordinates button it will soon resetting the coordinates for those cases and store the new coordinates found.

Feature Requests (3d Map)

"Camera Follows Selection" mode - instead of keeping the camera at a fixed position and pointing it at the current selection, keep the view on the current selection constant and move the position of the camera.

"Show date/time" - show the date/time of the current ship log entry (ie, "visit") in the info bar on top of the map.

"Highlight previous/next System" - possibly by changing the colours of the segments to/from the systems. Useful to see in which direction travel was, especially in the Bubble

"Search" - lets you search for a system in your travel history (this request isn't just restricted to the map but also your exploration logs). By name, log entry #, or date.

"Reduce Glare" - when there's a lot of visited systems in a small area, it's just one huge glow and its impossible to see the travel lines or individual systems.

Thanks for considering :)

Prooe Drye QW-L a7-0 has wrong coordinates, calculated distance to Prooe Drye SY-O b11-0 is 290.13, actual distance 297.59.

There seems to be something fishy with the marked system pair of Synuefe VQ-B b46-1 and HIP 15239, as they clearly aren't at the same position when looking at the starmap. It is the first one that seems to have wrong coordinates. And the two latter Flyua Phios (b39-0 and b39-1) have also been marked to the same coordinates when they aren't.

Damn that attention test of Flyua Phio RT-Z d13 :D (successfully failed).

Well it seems to be 'one of those systems' (as used above) as the GMap takes you to Flyua Phio RT-Z d13-0 first and you have to move through -1 to -14 before you get to it... I messed that up the first time myself so I'm not surprised that quite a few seem to have entered the wrong distance!

The coordinates of those systems aren't wrong and aren't correct... ;) In fact there are some systems whose name starts with 2MASS which are (at least) TWICE in the game. Sadly some of the locations can't be found through the GM's "Jump" arrow. If you move the cursor to the approx. position with the keyboard, you'll see the alternate position. If you encounter a system like this, just enter some distances and point me to the name, I'll sort this out. And yes, you can't do it on the web FE.

Duplicate system name - 2MASS J03285933+3120082 has a duplicate 104ly away at about -383.5, -388, -963.5.
As you suggested, I've added five distances for the duplicate system.

Uhh, was new feature just added? Or what's going on? :(
Some pages show the list of stored distances from oldest to latest (like it always used to be) - some other pages show it in backwards direction, from latest to first one sent. It seems that adding new distance to system makes the list to change.

Yeah having the pagination I had to reverse the order.
Some lists are still cached until they timeout or a new distances is added :)

I hope you are planning to add more filtering options one day (like sort the columns by system name/distance/sender name, in both directions), cause that change just made everything a little bit awkward.

Liked the new way to add distances though. ;)

I sure can try, what do you find awkward? Cause I was thinking having the latest first would me more logical when not showing every distances?

Well, I meant that it made it more difficult for me to copypaste lots of distances from one page to another since I used to have them in alphabetical order - and that reverse screwed up everything a little
Yeah, I agree in some cases you want to see latest first, but having a choice is better ;) Thank you for adding it.
Man, you're doing so much!

Just a feature request this time.

From time to time, there are those systems that are marked as requiring attention. It'd be nice when looking at that system (or any system really) to have option to select your last location based on flight log in one click to the enter distances box. Or, going back to the systems requiring attention, an option in distance input to create references for systems requiring attention in addition to the current ones (standard, dynamic, outlying).
