Sure, go ahead... wake the Shadows...
Careful what you wish for!

Careful what you wish for!
The idea that humans would band together in a speciesist anthropocentric crusade to wipe out a defenseless alien civilization is just horrifying. As a proper bleeding-heart sophont, I will most certainly band together with other like minded individuals in order to protest such barbaric, xenocidal causes. Any escalation to violence, will, of course, be the fault of closed-minded xenophobic bigots in charge of human systems and as such we will be free of any moral or ethical restraint in our counterstrikes in defense of the poor defenseless aliens before someone goes all space-monsanto on them and unleashes some kind of interstellar bug spray. Po' defenseless crawlies, we got yo' back!
I wanna join the Thargoids!!
Are you sure? - I heard the initiation ceremony is quite extreme!
but caramel that would not make for a good video game if they just came for tea and scones now would it?Wrong approach. You don't want to fight them really, it's better to cooperate)
we will burn you first.I wanna join the Thargoids!!
Will we ever have Aliens.
Alien hugging is where it is right now, if you're smart.

Yeah, "hugging." You know how we've been treating the barnacles![]()
Is this a bit like:
Hippy: "We must protect the sharks, we are in their environment and we are their friends"
Swimmer: "Has anybody told the sharks this?"
To the OP: yes, you probably will see aliens eventually but only in your imagination. Keep watching Galnet and get ready. You'll likely read a Galnet post one day when they're first engaged or when they first attack. Perhaps a screen shot will appear - nothing animated mind you. Then you'll have to wait for the next Galnet post to read about how they are attacking and how the brave defenders of the Alliance/Federation/Empire are battling to save the galaxy. Oh, and here's where you use your imagination if you want to 'see' these great battles play out. Then, wait for the Galnet post that declares it is over or has been won/lost. That is Elite Dangerous: the game you play with your imagination.
Seriously, there's more truth in this somewhat tongue-in-cheek reply than you realize...
