My reserved name is my forum name.

I think we don't have to use those, so I may use another. Something like Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F'tang-F'tang-Olé-Biscuitbarrel could be good.

I love that skit. I did a quick search on YouTube for it and at the end when it offers you related videos there is one of Nigel Farage! :D

Oh, and a reserved name plus a Jameson for me.

Firstname Lastname is the format of my reserved name, and I'll probably use the same format for any other characters that I'll make.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

My forum name is my Commander name as well. Although at least with Yaffle he'll be very memorable. Or not memorable? I certainly can't remember that name! :D Unmistakable, that's the ticket!

My reserved name is in firstname lastname format. That will help me revive my old habit of naming my pilots after characters from Neighbours. Strictly this was a habit formed when playing X-Wing and my references will be about twenty years out of date, but keep an eye out for Joe Mangel colliding with an asteroid near you some time after May.

Neighbours characters. Love it. :D

Your question presupposes a two gender paternalistic society in which the mother of a being is obvious, the father must be acknowledged by a surname, a firstname at least is required for uniqueness, and beings might want to disclose those. Would it not be better to ask who wants to disclose the name of
their hive-queen
their binary uuid
their binary ubid
their sibling generation month and yearnumber
their lattitude and longitude in 256ths of a circle
their homeworld ?

The players in the Elite Universe will be humans only (no other intelligent space-faring species (that Thargoids, naturally)), so the assumptions are valid.

My reserved name is Beemer as I couldn't have any conglomeration of the name I always use for everything which is Vulcan. Not the pointy eared Star Trek guys but the British Cold War Bomber.

The 24v bit after the Vulcan name was in reverence to my Scorpio Cosworth 24 valve Ultimate which was the nicest, fastest, most comfortable car I've ever owned.

Beemer was because I had a BMW X5 at the time I was picking names and everything I picked was rejected till I just entered Beemer in a fit of pique...
