cannot find players

so i got the elite dangerous alpha yesterday and have been playing it, however i cannot seam to find other players in multilayer, im flying around the asteroid field and i cannot find anyone.

I've experienced the same, I've just hopped from system to system and will sometimes find some other players who then seem to attack me on sight for some reason??

Welcome. Lots of Alpha backers are playing Alpha 3.0-3.4 for more than a month. Some of us get bored with existing 4 scenarios already and are waiting for Alpha 4.0, which hopefully introduces non-linear gameplay.

ahh cool, thanks for the reply. yea i heard alpha 4 will be like 200 square lightyears with multiple stations and all that. iv really been enjoying alpha 3 just the lack of other players has been a bit disapointing

It also disappoints me. That's why I am giving tries to play several times during the day to see if I get lucky to find other players. Also Sidewinders are of little interest to me as they are no match for Cobra so I just leave them alone.

I have a feeling it will be a little busier in version 4.0...

Sure it will. The main task is to keep everyone busy for a long time, which I hope A4 will accomplish.

yea alpha 4 is going to be real busy i think!! and im still working up to a cobra haha

i can see how only having the 4 locations in alpha 3 can get a bit repetitive after playing it a lot, but im loving the game already even in its alpha state

Have you ever seen another human player?
You know that in the scanner human players show up as a hollow blip...computer ships are a solid blip.

iv have only seen one, and died instantly haha, i was bust picking up some cargo and all of a sudden my shields are gone haha

I've tried flying around yesterday and the day before. Not many other players indeed. A number of Alpha Backer 5xxxx that were acting strange or suspicious so I tried to stay out of their ways.

Also had a few very unconfortable crashes of the game (just after I installed new stuff). Very hard to say what went wrong. A number of times 2 or 3 Impeccables were trying to impregnate eachother causing framerates to drop significantly.

Had a bit of fun but also some bits of frustration.

Cannot find players? Have you looked down the back of your sofa? I find all sorts of things there.
