Now I feel guilty...

I'm about 300ly away from Sagittarius A heading home. I stop for a bit of a drive hopefully to get some Jumpaline to speed my trip back.

I find an occupied escape pod. I'd love to take it back with me but my ASP has no cargo bays.

I feel guilty leaving that poor explorer in his escape pod stuck 25000ly from home.

Oh well on to the Great Annihalator then Neutrol field to home.

I'm deeply suspicious that there are so many escape pods out there. If I was an alien species looking to infiltrate humanity, that's one way I might try it.

Don't feel too guilty about leaving it behind - you know it's occupied, but you don't know by what! ;-)

I shoot them.

I figure if they're people it's a mercy killing and if they are slathering chitinous evil life forms it's a mercy killing (for the rest of us)

That explains the strange noises and smells coming from the cargo hold. Luckily, the ananconda is pretty large so it will take a while for the poisonous fumes to completely overcome the life support...won't it?

As long as you don't start telling them to rub in the lotion or they'll get the hose, we'll be fine....
