ridiculous distance from star to station

what the hell is all this over 300k ls to station about, i jumped into Bhatas system to find a 340k ls to the station... 15 minutes of pure supercruise yawn fest with a throttle as responsive as an electric milk float.

there should be a blacklist for these systems, it wasn't scanned so i couldn't check distance prior to jumping in, and i have 2mil worth of bulletin board missions to drop off, either than or 0-1000c in 3 seconds...

why for example if there are three stars why can't we pick which one to jump next to, after-all we choose our exit jump point...

Just out of curiosity whats your longest distance to station and which system?

Hutton Orbital has the furthest distance currently at .22 LY from Alpha Centauri.

About where you jump into a system... The FSD exits the ship at the main star (gravity well) of the system which is why you can't choose another star to exit at.

In-system jumps between stars is scheduled to be 'looked at' by Frontier, but there is no timescale known for when.

Hutton orbital is about 100 minutes of supercruise. Went there one and all i got was a stupid t-shirt...
Its funny that you can accept a courier mission with 15 minutes left that requires you to go to hutton orbital. What???!?!

well some times you have to travel thats life but if you need a ride send me a message and I'll take your cargo for you . Cry cry cry poor baby.

While Hutton Orbital may be the station most known for being 0.22Ly away from the main star, I did venture into a system at one point that had a star 0.23Ly away from the main star. I didn't think to take the name because it was an unexplored system, I looked at the distance and said "Nope" and jumped out.

I found 600k excruciating. I've seen Hutton and been like... Nope. Never been, probably never will. And certainly not for 352cr.

Are there well paid missions to/from Hutton? I would make the trip but only if the rewards for going there are worth it.

I don't have a problem with long journeys to stations (space is big) but there need to be compelling reasons to make the trip.

I came across one that was 1.2mil from the star somewhere within 60-70ly from Okinura - longest sc of my life and had a 1.6mil BB delivery mission for the station

Wouldn't have done it for double that. More like 10million before I'd even think about something so out there! :)
