Nick I have been using for about 16 years. So of course it's a dragon with tartan in it. Racing Stewart tartan to be exact.

My Avatar is Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed. I've kinda had an identity Crisis when that Anime was running (nothing serious, just I'm a twin and wanted to not look like my sister) and modeled my real life look after the character and it kinda suck since then.
I dye my hair pink and the hair clip as well. Sometimes the color changes but never last longer than a month before it's back to pink. (Yes I'm nuts. I know. )
Lacus is my Avatar absolutely everywhere you can have an avatar on the internet so that's never going to change here either.

In my youth, there was a comic from an independent company that was called "Evil Ernie". My avatar is the button on his jacket, an evil smiley. His had crossbones on it, though. Mine doesn't.

One day, the moderators decided it would be fun to play a game, and made a name-changing-shenanigans thread. Everyone who posted in the thread had their name changed to a random TV character. I'm a bit of a joker (*GASP*) and was dubbed "Gilligan."
I have a dog named Gill, and Gilligan (show) is entertaining enough, so I figured it worked, and I pretty much use that username everywhere now.
I had this avatar over on that site following the name change sheens, but then I found one of a my little pony driving a GTO, so I've been using that one over there sense, but this is my usual "Gilligan" avatar.

I have no avatar myself, one of those things I just don't bother with sometimes, since the SRM logo I have is rather oversized, 4k image one of my CO's paid to have professionally done, Shadow Rats Marauders, group I've gamed online with since 95 in MechWarrior 2 originally, many other games since. A few forums let me use the original 4k image so I do, but can't do that here so...
Besides, this is a space game, so empty space seems a fitting avatar for an explorer like me

You might not believe it, but I first designed my avatar in Forza Motorsport 4 on the Xbox 360. Later on I was bored so I downloaded Inkscape, and got a reasonably priced graphics tablet too. It was my 18th birthday. I spent a couple hours recreating the emblem I had made in Forza, as a .png/.jpeg or whatever it is, and I now use it as my main avatar on most online services.
It's a unicorn, because, well, read my signature. (If it isn't clear, I have a pseudo-religious belief that I am in fact, spiritually, a unicorn of the Kindom of Lakuma. Reincarnation is part of it.)
