For the daring explorer - Unstable wormhole

With all the talk about jumping further and improved drives - how about wormholes?

Yea, it's a sci-fi staple but perhaps not impossible.

-Wormholes are linked to large gravitational fields where space is warped and can be explored by entering unknown signals near and around black holes or VERY large suns.

-Wormholes will send you a random amount of LY in a random direction towards it's exit somewhere inside the galaxy (or at the very outer edge of it)

-Wormholes collapse after use

-Wormholes cost no fuel to use or activation of frameshift drive

-Wormholes will deposit the CMDR close to a sun or wormhole upon exit

-There will be no bookshelves upon travelling or entering/exit said wormhole

-Wormholes will deposit the CMDR close to a sun or wormhole upon exit

I'd prefer it if there was a small chance you could just get dumped somewhere potentially un-navigable, necessitating a self-destruct. Might cause a bit of forum angst, but if you are going to throw yourself into a random wormhole, you gotta wear the risk!

Hmm, well, I was thinking that being deposited in a system that is more than 60+ LY away from any other system could be bad enough.

But since it's not a DRIVE system it should not be required to land a player at a gravitational source.

Perhaps a risk of being dumped BETWEEN systems.

Or better yet, a miniscule chance of being dumped 25K LY outside of the galaxy.
