I think it was equally to do with that, as to do with stopping this thread from turning into a slugging match between various activists. I was going to say though, my lady made an awesome cabbage casserole last night that gave me the strength and fortitude I needed to keep pledging to 17 Draconis's plague problem. It will be cured ANY DAY now. Honest! Although she's not interested in most games and thinks they are stupid, that's ok, because she watches Grey's Anatomy and I think that's stupid :D

Cabbage Casserole :eek: :O.... I would have thought that would add to the Bio-Waste Problem

The whole subject is based on sexism and so cannot be avoided.

International woman's day is just about demands for equality and has been for over 100 years.

80 years later the world creates international men's day. About promoting, role models, good heath and humanitarian values. No demands.

As far as most gender relations are concerned, wherever you go across the planet, the matriarch is controlling most family units. Males are nagged, or blackmailed and bribed into agreeing with ideals that go against their very nature. Political correctness has gone insane over gender issues in the western society; to the point, where the best option for the average male, is to bow his head and agree with the woman making the demands and accusations against them, as a whole. We pay the debt of centuries of so called the oppression of our forefathers and continually do all we can to appease, the cry for equality. Today, many males in the western world, find themselves lying to the females around them, on a number of issues, simply to keep the peace. They tend to say one thing and then do something else; because it is not in the males interests, to oppose or be honest, with the female in their lives. It is up to the male to prove that the female is equal to them, even if we have to make concessions, such as 'positive discrimination', quota systems and even lowering the bar, for required achievements in some areas of life and work.

Agreed, yes there are many males that exploit and abuse, the power and strength they have over physically weaker females, in their lives; but at the same time, these males, do the same, to any weaker males they find that they can exploit etc. These male have been used as an example of 'male oppression' for centuries. Used to beat down and punish those, who have no wish to oppress, exploit or abuse, others, be they female, or otherwise. These individuals need holding to account, not the male of the species as a whole.

As individuals, we can achieve anything we desire, within the realms our own individual capabilities. There are many Olympian females, that can out run, out lift and out class, 99% of all fit males alive, but these are individuals. There are many intelligent females that have I.Q.s far higher than most males alive and the same applies across the spectrum of human activity. This dose not mean that because of the 'rules of equality', every female is equal, to every male and the mind-set, that demands such things, needs to be changed. There are areas in life, where the female, will always surpass the average male, in capability and achievement, but that dose not give anyone the right, or assumption, that we are all equal. If this was the case, then we would all compete, equally, side by side, on the Olympic track and field.

There is not and can never be, true equality of the genders. Accept this fact, accept the capabilities of the individual. Accept what we can achieve and the positive values of who and what we are. We must not use the example of the crude and base among us; as a stick, to beat down a whole section of society.

Males have feelings too and you can guarantee, somewhere, their is a female, just waiting to exploit that weakness.

1st: I thought that you had me in your blocked list.

2nd: Even Male rights activists are vilified, just as the suffragettes were in the 18th and 19th centuries. Go ahead and jump on the band wagon and vilify with impunity, as is your right; to do so.
