The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

I'm looking into your guide from time to time. Cheers.

You seem to be quite oriented around mods...
Is it possible to use the Debug Console to change time of day? Cheat Engine works but I strongly dislike that tool.

I don't think it's possible with the console. Why not just wait until the time you want?

In some locations (like the Vizima castle) and on some occasions it's impossible. Guess I'm stuck with Cheat Engine.
Thanks anyways. :)

Is that not possible even with Friendly HUD mod? It allows for real time meditation by pressing N key (by default).

Yeah but it doesn't help when meditation is blocked by the game. Like in Vizima castle.

Edit:

This Vizima pic wouldn't be possible without changing time of day in an unconventionally way

Oh. My. God. This is absolutely insane! (Ignore the Polish talk at l the beginning, she's just explaining what she's going to do).

This is Why, the night I finished my first playthrough of TW3, I wrote them a mail just to tell them how amazing an experience the game had been.
The only time ive ever done such a thing, but I felt I had to.

TW3 is the best RPG, and in fact the best game I have ever played in my 20+ years of gaming.
The fact that CDPR is doing Cyberpunk is almost too much for me to handle and the wait is gonna be…monumental!!!!

It's certainly one of the best games I've ever played - and I've played a LOT too.

Without dropping any spoilers, my actions lead to the unhappier story endings. After spending weeks playing the game, it kind of came as a huge shock to me that my actions could actually have implications. It was certainly one of the most emotional moments in any game I've played. I still had the Heart of Stone DLC to play through, but I felt really deflated after how the main story ended. I wanted to play again from the start just to "do the right thing"!

I can't wait to see what else they come up with. Apart from great graphics, incredible sound & music, interesting storylines, fun gameplay.. what else have they going for them....

Did the main story, and now I'm rocking on with the Heart of Stone DLC, my main story endings was kind of happy as my Gerald settled down with Yennefer, the war ended and was more or less ok for all. However I got one problem and that is how the DLC is kind of disconnected to the main story, otherwise then that i'm ok with it so far.

Yup, I felt a bit of a disconnection as well, when I started playing the DLC storyline, especially after the emotional rollercoaster of the main story. But the DLC storyline was quite fun once you got into it - even though I missed seeing some of the familiar characters.

I still need to play that. I started it, but I think I'll wait for the 2nd DLC to be released and play the game from scratch on NG+

I know that CD can't pump out DLC's for the witcher all the time, I also know that it will now take years to get to Witcher 4.

One can't stop wondering why you can have TV shows running for years and when you have a clearly talented team making awesome RPG worlds and characters, there are a good foundation for a DLC season show.

Skyrim (2) will not be this year and after blood and Wine we will have a vacuum in the RPG community. Well Kingdom Come are on its way but that is still a bit out in the future.

There is not going to be Witcher 4. Number 3 closes off the series.

Yup! TW3 was the last game in the series. No idea why though. But I have to say it's very cocky and honorable of them not to make a sequel if you think how incredibly successful TW3 was. If it was EA or Ubi     then Witcher would have annual sequels with micro transaction DLCs.

It's because the game is unofficial continuation of the books saga and it completes the story of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri. In 27 different ways, if I remember correctly :) And also because all good things must come to an end.

You never know, they may make Witcher 4 or a spin off of some sorts, but it's highly unlikely it'll be about Geralt, Yen or Ciri.

Yeah, it is very disconnected with the main storyline - but it kind of has to be. The DLC quest can be played at any point relative to the main quest (before you really start it or after you complete it), so it can't really include any characters from the main quest or make references to it.

As for the endings (spoilered, just in case..)

I ended up with both Triss and Yennefer leaving me because of my wild oats sowing ways.... Then Ciri left to become Empress. And I was left a lonely, ageing man in a big, cold, empty castle on the mountains. Too close to my real life, that... bar the castle, obviously! One of the saddest endings in any game I've played. Or indeed, more emotional than most films I've ever seen or books I've read. :(

At that point I started playing the Heart of Stone DLC at that point... even though my heart wasn't in it any more. Funnily enough, it put me in just the right mood for the 'title character' in that expansion!

Yeah I don't think we have seen the end of the witcher universe. CDProject have said that it's the end of Geralts story and hinted that they would be making more games in the universe. I was thinking about that and I think that it's possible that since no witcher schools train folk anymore that a next game in the series could easily be about one of the schools starting up again with you playing as a student getting trained etc etc.

The world is rich enough that it could support any number of (suitably dark) approaches, aside from the Witcher Schools. Plenty of intrigue, skulduggery and rogue sorcerers/resses. :)
