First of all let me express my humble appreciation for all the awesome work you have put into the development of "RegulatedNoise DJ-Version" *All in one* Trading Tool!

Keep up the good work!


Now for my feature request... i don't know whether such an option/filter already exists in the latest version (v1.84_0.29). I haven't found it yet :)

When using RN DJ-Version "Best Roundtrip" feature, is there a way to filter out all results with landing locations that have a specific pad size?

e.g.: i want to get only results with a landing pad size of L

yes for ym beloved Type-9 or Anaconda.

The filter you named is not existing, because the underlying data structures are sooooo
inefficient. The calculation was extreme slow as I tried to include it.
So I decided to remove this option again.

But as you may have seen I'm working on a new version of RN
(but it's now called ED-IBE -> ED-Intelligent Boardcomputer Extension).
The main difference is the internal datastructure - it's now based on a sql-database
which is much more efficient and this filter is now already included.

In the next few days I will release a first version of ED-IBE but
this will still have some restrictions:

working:

PriceAnalyss
Commanders Log
getting market data by EDMC (fully integrated by EDMC commandline version, but has to be installed manually)
overtaking existing data from the old RegulatedNoise

not working yet:

view of systems and stations
ocr (take EDMC instead)
webserver
EDDN interface

station name: Have you set the correct Gamepath in the settings ?
imp. results: you have the latest version ? If so and you stil have imp. results, set all limits to -1.

Ok so got a link . so I can read it too get IMPLAUSIBLE RESULTS working , Gamepath C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64

Yep I have this too IMPLAUSIBLE RESULTS! , also my station name ( top right ) is just set too scanning.
Ive been away from ED for quite sometime , given my internet woes and will be again shortly I suspect given Australian ISP string can broadband, my download is 1.10Mpbs highest has been 3.44 and no I'm not joking.
In any event I'm trying to remember how all this price data -1 works Any links, explanation in this thread or anywhere else ?

Cant use this, RN splash screen gets in the way of set folder path , which now keeps popping up every time I start RN, and cant set .

On top of that the system scanning when I was able to use RN is out of sync with where my ship is.. saying last station when I have left that one and moved on.

Also the scan seems to be completely missing some of the commodities, the newer ones ,

So having a few issues have done the re-install , still no luck , as the splash screen is just in the way of the Folder path set box ,


EDIT , when you first run RN to set the PATH it defaults too C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010

Yet when I tried to set it too C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64 , It just keep saying re start RN , over and over , ( the pick the path is hidden behind the splash screen ) so been using the XML and editing them with the correct path , but still , it will not work.

Hi sutex, which components do you use ?
The old RN in not longer supported by me but it's successor
(which I call ED-Intelligent Boardcomputer Extension - short "ED-IBE" - to get away from the meaningless name "RegulatedNoise")
is in it's first version (v0.1.1 - not online at the moment) fit for use.

Disadvantage:
parts are not working yet are
- EDDN
- webserver
- view of current systemdata
- OCR - but there's a integrated EDMC interface !

Could this be a solution for you (I remember you used the webserver in past) ?

Cheers sounds good, downloading now, give it a whirl ... was using this version v1.84_0.29 of RN


Edit , just ran the new file ED-IBE it crashed , but made a dump ( i think ) but could not find it in the install folder

Just a ? if I delete , AppConfig.xml file , will the launcher require it , get a clean copy

Ok Duke all good ED-Intelligent Boardcomputer Extension is up and running I deleted AppConfig.xml ran the FD installer and it re-required the files so ALL the TOOLS now work, what a pain that was ..... AppConfig.xml getting corrupted

Yes very good ... 'EDMC' sure makes life better, the only suggestion , given its new , is the splash screen , it defaults center middle , but so does anything else , that may need an input , and it may get blocked by the splash screen

I'm having trouble running other tools ED Toolbox wont work, it uses Sql database..seems can only use one at a time, is it possible to allow yours too run in its own sql/database/engine/environment or is this too hard ? ED Toolbox with your works well together, its a good fit , or could if they would ..:)

Should work. I assume the problem is the connection port:
You have to change two files:
.\Database\Elite.ini and .\ED-IBE.ini

Changes:
.\Database\Elite.ini
change
port = 3306
to another port (e. g. 3307 or 49227 or another unused)

.\ED-IBE.ini
change
Port=3306
to the same port as in \Database\Elite.ini

to all:
open the file

.\ED-IBE.ini

and change under [DB_Connection] the entry
TimeOut=60
to
TimeOut=10000

This should remove a Monitor-Lock problem.


Edit: and don't install the data part in a path with spaces in it (solution is in progress)

I changed the Port but if Toolbox is running , EDIBE will not start.. and Vice Versa , seems they don't want too share whatever it is they want to own :)

I don't know what they can share other than the tcp-port.
What kind of reaction gives ED-IBE, if you try to start and Toolbox is already running ?
Exception ? Stuck in Splash ? Nothing ? ....

EDIT... from ED TOOLBOX You could configure both programs to use the same server.
You'll need to move the edtb_log database to the ED-IBE MySQL server and change the EDTB config file to match the user & password of that server, or vice versa.

If ED TOOL box SQL Server is running , then ED-IBE, will get stuck at the SQL loading bit ,it then shuts down and when shutting down ED-IBE if running first, the sql.exe it called, sometimes has to be shut down in process , if I want too start ED toolbox,
If they cant run together, because both wanting control of Sql database, then so be it , but if there is a simple way, would be good
