Cross-Network Play
First, in addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well. This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.

And while I do understand FD's position on cross play with PC...

I would love cross-play with our blue headed brothers and sisters when they get E. Would make the galaxy more alive altough I am not sure how reporting combat loggers would work.

I'm just waiting for the day when my xbox CMDR account will work on PC. Because once I get my PC I plan on playing on PC only but I do not want to start all over in a sidey. So I'm praying and hoping for the day I can transfer accounts.

As far as CQC/Arena goes, non-cross-plaformability* was a decision by Frontier, not a technical limitation.

Platformabilty may have been discussed at FD, but there was no reason to as at the time it wasn't allowed. Now that it is, what about allowing it for other consoles? so there's not a PC/HOSTAS thingy going on.

You honestly believe Microsoft & Sony will allow their console networks to merge?

Won't happen. Wargaming have already confirmed they cross-platformed between the two consoles in-house for WoT, but because the manufacturers say no, they can't allow cross-platform between Xbox & PS4 as part of the final product.

No excuses, do it. I don't wanna hear no noise about flightstick being an advantage. That's a weak excuse and everyone knows it. Doesn't really matter if our competitors have a slight percieved advantage if we have no one to play with. Were big boys here we can deal with it.

Because honestly, I don't see cross-platform between consoles & PC ending well. The inequality between current-gen' consoles & PC's are higher than ever, and that's in favour of PC's. I'm not keen on seeing that kind of uneven playing-field.
