Powerplay Cycle 40 PP Commentary

Why would centralized control indicate that exploited systems wouldn't be affected by that rule?

I'm not arguing for or against this happening, I'm just saying what I observe from the descriptions.

Lets look at what some of the powers do.

Mahon increases production and consumption of agricultural goods in his control systems, and has a 5% decrease in their prices
In his exploited systems he does the exact opposite, a decrease in production and consumption, and an increase by 5% in agri prices.

Hudson increases security in Federation systems, but decreases it in all other systems

ALD closes black markets in her control systems, and has a 5% increase in black market profits in her exploited systems

Patreus has an increase in the price of high value goods in his Imperial systems, with a decrease in the price in all other systems.

These general changes from these powers look like only one area, either the control system, or a specific Major Faction, are able to have sometime enforced, then the exploited systems have the opposite

Aisling does the same thing in her Control systems as her exploited systems, so is a bit different, but it is explicitly listed.

Antal is different from all the other Powers, in that he has an effect listed under the HQ section, these should be listed under the Control system and Exploited system sections.

It is more than likely Torval will either lose the expansion at Gacrux, or be put into Turmoil, which will allow another prep war for the bubble next week.

It was a pleasure Fergal.

Rest assured that the bubble is now a Granny State. So if people wish to play wargames there, please do so quietly.

Enjoy your turmoil in the following cycles as winter and hudson tries to get you out of Gacrux like they did the previous time an imperial got this bubble. Oh and also NULL will likely join the party aswell.

Really this bubble is way more trouble than it's worth.

Torval actually did a really impressive job of fortifying last week to avoid losing their expansions via turmoil. Our hats are off to them both for sneakily prepping Gacrux and for winning the expansion. Honestly, struggles like this one are much more interesting to me than what we at Winters went through last week, trying to beat a 5C expansion (it wasn't grinders; grinders don't stay up late to push back when we start opposing) and then turmoiling to avoid it.

Thank you for noticing. I have to take my hat off myself in regards to the fortifications that were beyond anything I have seen so far.
