Bought the beta, getting permission error from the forum?

I've bought the premium beta ~1 day ago and each time I click the forums button of the launcher I'm getting this message from the forums when I log in:

You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:​

Is there something else I have to do?

I think that is the link to Alpha Discussion Forum
A slight oversight from FD?
Beta will not have access to that forum.
I am GUESSING they will create a Beta Discussion Forum soon.
Perhaps 'very soon'?

I think the launcher tries to send you to the alpha forums, as the build that you're playing with is an old alpha. When the beta kicks off properly at the end of May I'd expect Frontier to make a forum available for it.

Most likely they will rename Alpha forum a beta forum, and you will have your permissions updated so you can access it. At this point you can't do that yet, but just "few weeks" left :)

I certainly hope not. Wading through all the flotsam and jetsam to find relevant info after Alpha closes would seem problematic. Perhaps I'm totally wrong but I am imagining over 80% of content in that forum will no longer apply. Add to that all of the wild speculation and posts as if someone has some sort of insider knowledge of Frontier or act like an official spokesperson :rolleyes: when they are not would just detract from the utility of the forum.
Add to all that that there apparently will remain a need for Alpha testers to discuss future testing and bugs, I really do not see it that way at all.
But I've been known to be incorrect before! :D

I don't care if I get access to the alpha forum or not, but it would be nice to just not get always the permissions error. ;)

Instead of doing that I think the easiest thing to do would be to create a subforum just for us poor beta players ;)

We are in agreement Stu2 .
ALFA testers will get first access to all builds and expansions so the need to keep the discussions separate may help speed up the testing . And give the Dev's too groups of important information .
Or maybe they will link the discussions and send us all to the new page for BETA testers .

I just brought the Premium Beta too. Can't access it yet though, says I have invalid credentials. How long does it normally take FD to update credentials to access Beta/Alpha etc?
