Shadow Deliveries for large landing pads - where do I find them?

Hi all!

Trying to use something other than an Asp for Shadow Deliveries, and my lovely Clipper seems to fit the bill nicely. The only issue is trying to find missions for my ship.

I have just spent 45 minutes mode-switching at Fehu, even jumping between the two stations, resulting in only 3 Shadow Delivery missions. I tried Sothis / Ceos a few weeks back, same results. Thought maybe I wasn't allied with all the factions but I have checked the "Available but Unobtainable" section too - there simply aren't many Shadow Deliveries spawning.

Have I just been unlucky or is there somewhere better to find these missions? Want to use my Clipper for something useful ;)

You can do 17 Draconis. Not as many choices as Robigo, but you get lots of Fed charity missions in-between :)

Im sat at Sothis right now in a Cutter, so far only have 14 million worth of missions, took some stuff over to Ceos for a couple of mill and picked up a few more.

It wasn't like this a week or so ago.. I was picking up missions, 10 million credits each to haul back to planatery bases, Cutter & T9 hauling 60+ million credits worth of stuff. Perhaps it's just bad luck on this run.. I'm going to stick around for another 30 mins, head to Almagast, then fly over to Obsidian Orbital.

Fehu normally has tonnes of high paying missions to large stations and planatery ports. Haven't been for a week tho..

Edit - I've been doing runs out of Canopus and nearby systems for the last week in a T9, picking up Elite haulage missions for 4+ million each, only hauling 30-40 LY away.

Full list of systems to try - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=229162

I did see some regular smuggling missions (not Shadow Deliveries) at Fehu, but as the Clipper isn't large enough to stack a sensible number of them I will have to stick to the Shadow Deliveries. I'm surprised that Robigo spawns so many more than anywhere else, what makes it different to other fringe systems?

Robigo cartel is likely the reason, the system basically deals in slavery

I've been going by this list: https://eddb.io/station?l=30&i=0, sorted by distance to Sol. Problem is, I can't seem to find a reliable source for Shadow Deliveries anywhere I have tried - this might be due to bad luck with the RNG gods, or there really isn't anywhere as good as Robigo.

I have tried:
Sothis
Ceos
Quince
Fehu
Aditi

Should I just keep trying or is there something specific I should be looking for?

Did you check the link I posted? It gives you the full list of starports & Surface ports. Maia/Canopus/Fehu have been my reliable sources, I primarily use the surface ports.

Edit - I just landed back at Sothis, 3 missions - two for 3.8 million, 1 for 3.7 million.. Not amazing but it's better than nothing.

A week and bit ago Sothis was earning me huge amounts, today's run is average at best...

I filtered out the surface ports in the EDDB list as I rarely use them due to the time it takes to land compared to a station. But if they give good missions it might be worth a try? :)

Definitely worth a try, there are more surface ports than outposts and stations. If you're gliding correctly it takes no time to land at a port. I rarely use orbital stations now, surface ports are ideal for smuggling/haulage in large ships

The BB on the left is an example of how your BB should look.
There is 2 x trade, 2 x explore and 1 x combat.
Reason is cos I did an exploration mission earlier and just did a combat mission.
Otherwise it would just be shadow missions and a charity mission from the suffering faction.

The BB on the right is an example of a BB in a mess where every faction is issuing missions.
This can be easily changed to only give shadow missions.

You can do this at any station (not fully tested it everywhere), so go anywhere near the edges of the bubble is my best advice.
Today I did the same thing at Cockaigne and saw the missions appear.
So, pick a system that has low Cmdr traffic and start there. It will be easier for you. i.e. Don't go Canopus, there is at least 2 players there already. [money]

P.S. I also think the payout have been nerfed a little. Last week I was getting 6-9 mil missions and I was one rank lower.
Now it's tops 6 mil but thats ok when you get ~6 of them to deliver per run.
