Frontier should just make a deal with these guys to provide the voiceover content some folks seem to want for missions and whatnot. It's pretty clever the way they've wrapped it around Voice Attack, but more directly collaborating would make for way more interesting stuff. Take it to the next level for season three and make the "military careers" stuff they want to do campaigns with some SF legends stuffed in a booth rattling off variations. I'm sure the writers would love to take a crack at writing dialogue for these people and this outfit has shown they are capable at doing the recording and talent wrangling.

Not that I'm THAT into it, but I bet lots of other folks would be.

Then again, I'd pay to listen to Tom Baker read the entire commodities section. Or as some Thargoid expert pontificating and blathering on in Galnet exclusives.

Don't bite off more than you can chew, add a few per season for The Glorious Ten Year Plan.

Or in fact I'd probably pay a tenner for one as an add-on, like skins/bobbleheads, just an alternative in-game voice pack.

Arguably voice over is just cosmetics. A different voice for each ship would be pretty awesome, give each ship a unique personality.

Maybe Shatner would be Asp Explorer, or DBX. Brian Blessed as the Federal Assault Ship, Joanna Lumley as Courier?

I love all the extra vocal feedback and automation, but I don't think I'd ever get used to voice commands. I tend to play late, in a quiet and not-at-all-soundproof apartment. Not for me.

Well, Shatner is quite legendary in SF circles for being a huge jerk.

What is it?

Voice Attack is customisable voice command voice command software. It comes with a ton of preset commands but you can customise it to respond to your own phrases.

It is cheap and fun. Mainly it adds atmosphere like setting it up to engage the frame shift drive when you tell it to 'go to Warp'.
