Some help with oculus rift not showing up as an option in the 3d menu

So I recently changed my video card from a geforce 660 to a geforce 970, but I've also had to reinstall the game. While setting up my oculus, I can't select it in the 3d menu. I've double checked the run time and it is running. At this point I am at a loss. The run time is 6.0.1 I think. Does any one have any suggestions? I'm pretty exasperated at this point. Thanks mates

You need to either install 0.8 runtime from oculus along with steamVR or else wait until oculus runtime 1.3 is released on Monday (does not require steamVR). Frontier updated to the 1.3 runtime build and released it a few days early because today and Monday are holidays in the uk.

Could you explain in a bit more detail or possibly post an instruction guide?
Sorry rushed that out on my phone.

To get Elite going with Oculus SDK .8 or later going:
•Windows 7 or 10, latest updates
•Steam installed (does not need to be running) - Beta option must be set
•SteamVr tool installed (does not need to be running) - Beta update option must be set
•Oculus SDK 8.0 installed
•Elite Dangerous 64 bits installed

Very much appreciated mate. So when monday's run time is released, will I no longer need to run steam vr?
