Jump range reduced as I approach the core

Quick side question here. I am now heading back to Sol and I wondered at what range from Sol I will start to encounter civilised systems again? I have a badly cracked canopy which is causing me worries and a few fried systems which I need to get repaired.

There are no civilised systems. :) But inhabited systems at about 300 Ly. IIRC there are a handful furhter away, depends on the direction you come from.

Change galaxy map to show systems by economy and then adjust population slider to slightly above 0. That should show you all systems with station in. NPC's roam about 200-400Ly away from stations maximum afaik.
