Daylight saving time changed today in the UK. Without logging in to look that may explain it.

Yep .. we are now in BST here in the UK (GMT +1) the game remains on GMT.
log in and out a few and stays the same.

It's GST - Galactic Standard Time, which happens to be the same as UTC time on Earth
That depends on where you live...
My guess is that having the time change by an hour twice a year would really confuse players in countries other than Britain, as then you'd need to account for your own daylight saving time if any, and ours as well trying to figure out what the in game time was without logging in.
As already mentioned, time is in UTC. UTC is standard for aviation/shipping, astronomers, navigators, the Deep Space Network (DSN)

Doh! I thought this was to be about the new coming cockpit clock. Now why did I stop wearing a watch? Was it just since I got a mobile phone in my pocket or really because I hate getting old and prefer to be free...I do not wish to see the time in a game please!
