Consider yourself warned if you play in Open. There's an Imperial Cutter at the barnacle discovery site who has a case of little man syndrome, likes blowing up commanders who greet him in welcome or just likes kicking puppies or something in real life - I just arrived there and I'm 4 million out of pocket because of this clown.

No warning, just destroyed my parked ship for whatever reason. I won't share the name for obvious reasons. Usually I'd say be gentle, but this kind of special player is the reason why many of you choose private groups.

I actually went to Maia in solo mode and didn't go in open until I'd reached and landed on Merope 5c. I switched to open thinking that I'd find another commander who'd be looking for the Barnacle too and wing up. What can I say, that 3 minutes I was in open cost me around 10 hours gametime just so some manchild somewhere could let off some steam.

Won't be making that mistake again.

Easy solution: Dont log into open as long as there are no consequences of this Behaviour.

Use Player groups or Solo. Let the killers in open kill their likes. Not much going on in open beside PVP there anyways lately.

How is anyone able to harvest barnacles in open? You normally get 2 alloys per instance, aren't the sites already wrecked by the time you get there?

I honestly couldn't care about your opinion. I'm more annoyed in the time I've had to invest to get to this stage, and it's almost all been undone for no reason by another guy just 'cause. I get very little PC time, and this has ruined a lot if progress for me over the last six months. Yes, I'm rightfully annoyed.

I was referring to not playing in Open with other people. Nobody in open is going to miss someone like them.

And I am not forgetting anything. Just calling out the OP for calling someone various slurs while not acting much like an adult themselves.

Open has more than it's share of the specially gifted.....as sad as the current state of affairs is when in open trust no one. There are no repercussions to being a jerk yet so therefore some people live to do just that, the few spoil it for the many.

I dont see any slurs. Just a quite accurate descriptopn of a player that decided that he has most fun killing the fun of others.

Actually i belive that people that behave like that "ECO-terrorist will cause Open to be renamed to "arena mode" sooner or later and a new "PVE-mode" will be made.

Even FD will eventually have to notice that open loses players in droves to PG and solo because of these killers.

Thats why i advocate to not play in open at all if one is not into killing players. It would be nice to have player statistics that clearly shows whats wrong with open.
So FD is "encouraged" to think about it.

Most of us actually don't care what you do, it's your game. The only ones with any real double standards are people like you who want everyone to play according to you.

I play solo sometimes as well during CG's when I just want to relax. It's not just about everyone else, it's about you too. If you want to play solo, do so.

Just don't make topic after topic demanding people do this and that and saying "Well I should just play in group/solo all the time!" because nobody really cares to hear about it anymore.

I would love to see the number of posts complaining about people in open vs the number of posts of people talking about people in solo/group. Please go ahead and prove me wrong in my thought that you people complain far more often. It's not like, you don't have at least three threads about in on page one alone or anything while there are ZERO currently about how everyone should play in open.

Can't wait for your response proving me wrong about this legion of people who despise all solo players.

It's like using neckbeard as an insult. Seems like nothing unifies the internet so much as a mutual hatred for fat people who have hair on their necks.
