Oculus Cinema

Does anyone know what the reset key is to align your view in Oculus Cinema? Checked the web and couldn't find an answer.

Thanks

Use the remote to access the calibration/settings page?

Edit - Wait, you're on a DK2. Sorry was referring to the CV1.

Yea - the dopes at Oculus seem to have tied everything to the XBox controller and removed all keyboard access. :)

Hey brother what kind of graphics card do you have? I just broke out my DK2 after six months of not using since I was waiting for the right moment, and I did but my SLI gtx660 setup aint cutting it no more.

Hey Jesse, I am using a 980TI. I have setup Elite for a friend of mine, he's using a 970 with the DK2 and seeing amazing performance at Ultra.

After a reboot the Cinema seems to automatically align on startup. You all should check out the Oculus dream deck, it's free in the store, perfect for showing people VR.

Thank you, I was going to buy a 980ti but it is actually really expensive at the moment and I don't think my wife is feeling it, however, I could definitely go for a 970 right now.

Not sure if this was answered or not.

Even with the DK2 you can reset view using Xbox button on the Xbox controller works. One of the buttons on the right will reset.

I watched the boxing 360 demo last night - mind blown - and that was on a DK2 !

Can't wait for the CV1.....

Nosh

PS - and the Sky Sports (tossers) F1 didn't look too shabby as well :)

Yeah it's free, the Home Cinema & Normal Cinema are quick slick. You also have a few others, including an outdoor Cinema on the surface of the moon. Plays all my films and vid clips without any issues, not sure about Blurays.

I paid to have Cinevo last year, that product is really nice, also has a web cam next to your seat if you need to monitor the outside world.

What about 3D bluray and DVDs? My understanding is that the cinema apps on the Oculus make watching media similar to viewing it on a 120 inch screen. Is this true?

Yes but with much lower resolution effect than actual HDTV

Personnally I find viewing movies in VR a novelty/gimmick, it is in gaming where it shines!

One of the themes the screen is a massive 7" which looks absolutely ginormous... as you are the size of an insect <grin>

Yeah, right now it mostly is. Perhaps in 10 years, we'll have 4k @ 120 (per eye) and then it will no longer be a gimmick but the new normal. Once you go VR desktop, there's no going back.
