CQC Please fix Arena!!!

Depending on the time of day you log in it can be easy or hard. I'd say 1100-0300 GMT is the best time to try and find a game. This covers afternoon/evening in Britain and US east coast. Any other time and it can be very hit and miss. At the time of this post it'll be extremely hard to find a match, try deathmatch.

You might as well spit three times at the left bottom corner of your monitor, rub it with a rabbit foot and turn around three times... That is if you believe into that kind of things..
Rational reaction for a thing sold as "MMO game", but really a "stand-alone demo/trainer" for another game (get ready to pay more if you want to play..) is to request a refund and move on.
CQC was never too popular and by now pretty much everybody who played it moved on to Star Citizen..
Get a refund and buy Star Citizen starter package ($45). Arena Commander is way more interesting than CQC...

PS: I am pretty sure there are no CQC matches happening atm despite the claims to the contrary.

I think that stat is counter productive as ED owners who would make up the bulk of Arena players wouldn't be counted.

Oh, it is very very productive... The trend is apparent. ;)

LOL.

You really are down on CQC aren't you?

Right now the servers are down for the weekly maintenance window, so how about finding a valid reason to complain about..... ?

There is always "TRAINING"..
Of course you can get it for free by downloading the "main game" and not registering.. ;)

It was pretty clear where it was heading from the early days. Not being "up" or "down"...
You probably had not been around last year when players just started to complain about matchmaker. And Frontier became a laughing stock of the Gaming industry with their "AWS presentation"... ;)
Yep. The "servers been down" for quite a while... Like a few month?
No, definitely not a good reason to give a advice to the players...

Correction, you're really down full stop. As for Frontier being a laughing stock of the Gaming Industry, where's your proof on that point? My proof off the top of my head that they are not a laughing stock would start at the Golden Joystick nominations. Your go, Mr Negative... ;)

Sorry to see you've become so bitter about CQC, Kossack. :(

CQC was never too popular and by now pretty much everybody who played it moved on to Star Citizen..

Actually, of the vocal pilots hanging around these forums, I think you're basically the only one.

Games definitely happen, but they're only reliably found at peak hours. At the moment, those don't currently line up well with my available times to play either.

We get it, you don't like cqc anymore. But you're wrong, the game is more popular now than it ever was before you gave up on it. Trotting out that garbage steam stats page every chance you get won't change that. If you had actually tried playing in the last month you'd know that. Now, instead of trying to drive even more people away from Arena, how about you      off and shill for Star Citizen somewhere people actually care.

Actually, for me at least, populations have petered off again after the Arena release. It's not the lowest it's ever been, but it's nowhere near the highest either. My last 5-6 attempts to find a game in the evening have all failed, but I'm quite sure that if I play Saturday afternoon I'll find tons of matches easily.

It's likely different for different timezones though.

Yeah, any time past 8pm my time(AKST/GMT - 9) it can become very difficult if not impossible to find a match. But at that time the vast majority of civilization is asleep, so that's understandable. If I can hop on any time between 9am and 6pm I never have to wait more than a minute for death match, 2-5 minutes for TDM. Maybe it has petered off a bit, but I still see plenty of rank 1 newbies trying out the game, and more prestige players pop up every time I play. This game isn't dead by a long shot. Unfinished and with a low-ish population, sure, but Fdev is like the turtle in tgat one children's tale. Slow and deliberate. I have no problem with this.

Definitely. I'm an hour ahead of you timezone-wise, but generally only am able to start playing right about the time that "no more games" sunset kicks in. So unless I get the kids to bed early or something, I have to wait for Saturday afternoons (and, of course, not have other plans. :))
