Hey thanks for making this small GUI!

I'm trying to make it work for 0.6.0.1 to play iRacing, but I can't install it properly. It gives me this warning when installing the 0.6.0.1 after installing 1.3:

"The Oculus Display Driver is not supported on this configuration, and will not be installed"
And since that isn't installed (probably because 1.3 already did this), it cannot start the 0.6.0.1 service properly I imagine. Any way to perhaps install the drivers separately?

Thank you drkaii!!! This switcher is very useful for me having the DK2. Being that the new runtime 1.3 appears to suck on it for the moment. The problem i am having when i go to install runtime 0.5 it immediately says "Please uninstall your current runtime before continuing". Is there anyway around this? I am trying to install the only 0.5 runtime available from Oculus's site ---- 0.5.0.1-beta -- As far as i can tell Alien Isolation only works pre 0.7 and 0.6 is not yet working with the switcher so i need to get 0.5 working to play Alien isolation correct?

What I've done in the same case was to uninstall from Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Oculus Runtime.
Then, I reinstalled the runtimes from .5 to .8, and this is important, as soon as I finished installing one I copied the folder elsewhere.
When I finished, the only one incomplete seemed to be the 0700. Copying the backup fixed that.

So far, I can switch to 1.3, 0.8, and 0.5 with the new fix, although as I couldn't install the display driver (as pointed in another post), the game I was trying to play didn't work (appeared sideways).

Just posted a quick fix that grays out 0.5 if 0.8 isn't installed (required for 0.5 to work). Also stops calling 0.8 if 0.8 isn't installed

@drkaii Thanks for making this awesome tool. I have an issue, though. When I switch to 0.5, it says "No HMD Detected. Tracker Connected" and I can't use extended mode, because the option is grayed out, and the Oculus keeps the orange light, and doesn't function as a second (or third in this case) anymore.

Uninstall the DK2 as a monitor under 'monitors' in device manager, then rerun the 0.5 script and it works. Hope this helps someone, or can help make this switching tool even better.

I had no trouble with it, but have trouble now. Maybe its because you already have some files left from a previous 0.5 install? Try cleaning them up, otherwise try reinstalling everything but in a different order. I think I did 0.8 > 0.5 > 0.6 > 0.7

You probably don't need to uninstall Home but try that as a last resort and if you do, delete these registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Oculus VR, LLC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Oculus

Let me know as someone else is having that problem too and I will put it in the readme

Can confirm the runtime switcher now works with iRacing in 0.5.
Culprit for me was to install 0.8 as well.

Thanks Doc; 1.3 is nice, but it'll be great to drop down to 0.8 when I want to play vorpx games (at least until the cv1 arrives)!

I've noticed the same thing happens with Virtual Desktop as well. It will only work with 0.7 runtime now as it seems even with the switcher .08 side loaded is a little underperforming now. I went back into Project Cars after having 1.3 and used the switcher for .08 which did work fairly well before but is now become unplayable with focus judder where the left and right tear apart now with head movement. I am impatient and will probably just request a refund on all the DLC I just got thinking I'd get an Oculus key right away and buy the Oculus version for the 6 bucks more than the DLC. It was more about using up too much of my C drive though since Oculus is stuck on needing everything installed on C right now.

Hi drkaii.. i can confirm that it was the order i was installing. in fact the only way for me to get all the runtimes installed was to install 1.3 first then oldest to newest .5 - .6 - .7 and finally .8. i first attempted to install .8 then .5 but received the "uninstall other runtime"

i am now having trouble getting .5 and .6 to work (but they are both installed now). Though .5 seemed to do much better after I used your latest update i.e. the orange light now comes on. but says "no HMD, Detected, Tracker connected". i have yet to try with Alien Isolation because i have to reinstall it. .6 just says "service unavailable".

I'll post again after i try Alien Iso. any suggestions in the mean time would be greatly appreciated.

Repped for getting the scripts together. Bloody good job mate. I can now play Project Cars in native 1.3 and Elite in 0.8 with SteamVR. I was up ALL night trying to get my 1.3 sorted. Oculus install folder needed to be pre-created and everyone assigned full permissions or the install would fail at the first hurdle.

I'm really stoked I can play Elite on the 0.8 runtime because its utter gubbins on 1.3...

Thanks for confirming! It sounds like you have got it working as I have. I'm still waiting for one of the magical people claiming 0.6 to be working to share their script or explain what they did...

Then the installer will be finished for good.

I can now confirm that i have all run-times working except .6 of course. .5 i was able to get working after reading the post by "immortalmazewalker" Quoted below

Thanks for everyone's help on this!! .. I was just about scrap my DK2 and drop a lot of money on the new consumer model. But that still wouldn't have gotten Alien Isolation to work. Now i can have nearly the best of all Oculus worlds.

FYI if anyone hasn't played the DLC's yet I highly recommend "Crew Expendable" they did an amazing job recreating the ship from the first movie and within the first five minutes you are given a flame thrower, scanner and hatch opener and they tell you to go in to the bowels of the ship and seal a hatch and at about 6 minutes in the alien found me and a i nearly soiled my pants. Before getting this working again now i didn't have any of the expansions so this was my first experience with Alien Iso since i lost the ability to play it after upgrading to .7. SOOO HAPPY!!!!!

I noticed in another post that .8 dosn't work with Vorpx, but i have not had any issues with this after getting all the run-time's going. Not sure but these may have been isolated issues.

Hopefully this helps some people.
