People please dont log off on surface. It makes me kinda nervous when Clipper spawns just couple of meters in front of me...
Its really not a big deal to take your ship to like 500 meters and then log off. I have seen plenty of cases where ship spawns on top of some other ship and i dont want it to happen to me.

Use your brains cmdrs and LOG OFF SAFE!! o7

I've seen a few ships spawn in other ships along the route at various waypoints. What blows is when someone gets kicked by the server and then logs back in a few minutes later only to find a new arrival either in their spot or close. Personally I never log out on the surface if I can help it, I always at least take off and fly up a couple hundred meters first. It doesn't take much time and it's much safer to do so IMHO. Plus I really don't want to log in and fiind myself falling under the planet surface, because that sucks!

Looks like he's in knee-deep with a 'what-the-heck-am-i-doing-here' look on his face. Also he's got an umbilical cord running out of his ear and seeing a whale dressed up as an Asp Explorer. So I guess the medical term would be: 'stark raving and on the brink of the Abyss'. Just sayin'.

Edit: Unless they've upgraded the forum, we're soon gonna run into the 10.000 post limit?
Edit: Which I'll be watching like a hawk to grab post 10.000 for myself...

Whack-a-rat is great fun until you get shot by another Cmdr and then bounce off the ground! :eek:

That was a great evening, despite having a few problems with wings and instancing. Actually survived a game of whack-a-rat this time, even with a few ships passing very close to me. The flyby was very impressive with quite a crowd gathered. Didn't manage any screenshots during it, I was too focused on avoiding collisions and keeping in formation, but grabbed one just after when ships were heading back to the landing site:
