How did I get an Achenar permit?

I've tried searching but all results are people asking how to get one. I've got one, but I've got zero Empire rank.
Something to do with a CG, possibly? (although I've never directly taken part in one)

Same here Bongo, no rank but got the permit.

I think it was from the "gifts for the new Emperor" cg or whatever it was called.

Greetings denizen of the Milky Way galaxy.

The Empire accepts multiple forms of tribute. A few options are listed below:

  • Virgins, but only in ODD numbers
  • Lamb that has never crossed a creek or stream
  • Sustain ably sourced beef
  • Eranin Pearl Whiskey
  • 18th century gold from South America, Earth
  • Ship wrecks bearing the markings of Emperor's Dawn (they make for exciting fantasy dungeons)
  • Plasma from Sag A*
  • and FREE cable w/ all the premium channels

Virgins are not a problem. Most of my friends are gamers

Preposterous! People without any ties to the Empire crowding streets of our capital?!
Were they at least instructed in proper wardrobe etiquette?

Alliance! For the glory of independent sovereignty!

And farms!

To be honest I'm not sure what rank does give the Achenar permit. Back in the mists of time not long after the game was released there were issues with people not getting permits they should have done and some of us were given a whole load of Federal and Imperial permits even if we hadn't reached the required rank. My excuse is that it's just one of the few perks of being a Founder. As it stands I'm currently a Viscount so I'm well versed in Imperial etiquette. Just need someone to remind me to pick up a new sash next time I head to Imperial space as the last one was lost in an unfortunate accident.

There is no need reinforce a offencive and somewhat hatefull stereotype on gamers whom for the most part are all nice and often have amore stable family life.
Sex is not the most important part of life , but that has undertones that geeks/gamers are les careing than others , less fit for life , less worthy of being part of the world.

I did not realize gamers were a group of people that were so specifically ostracized in public that we can't make or laugh at jokes about gamers. A little self-deprecating humor is okay and I find it hard to believe that gamers are honestly offended by this. But if that is where we are in the world now...well, I've always got GTA to keep me laughing

EDIT: Just had to add on after talking to my wife about it...why is virginity such a big deal anyway? Why should anyone think less of themselves for not having sex? It is, after all, just sex...and the traditional western definition of virginity needs to be put on its head too... Are lesbians virgins? hah, try saying that to their faces. Virginity is just another construct to define people in arbitrary ways...for that, I'm all about poking ;) fun at it.

Virtual high-five.

Gotta be able to laugh at oneself from time to time.

I spend most of my childhood and teenage hood in a farm area in france.
At school teachers would steal things off me , call me a future killer , antisocial and they even prevented me from reading my own books or random fiction and even use MP3 during off hours and of course told me If I was seen playing or doing anything on the PC I would be kicked out , even if by law I had to use a PC to work but they did not care about it and just told me that my PC melted my brain.
(it was a boarding school) and being kicked out of class once for claiming video games were art (okay I might have said ''puriest of art formes'' but still... kicked out)
And some of the teachers even encouraged others to make fun of me and the other two nerds during school hours.
I guess its not a big deal for me today but I feel somewhat hated as a nerd as a resault of every one of my schools being that way

In there defences I have mild mental issues that they told me and my parents were made up , so yeah it scared me a bit and I allways get hyper defencive about nerd/geek culture

Really?, how is this hatefull? It was a totally inoffensive joke gently ribbing the community that Bongo is part of.

I am a gamer and most of my RL friends are not, I hear jokes about being a geek etc. And I take the Micheal out of the things they like to do. It's the kind of banter that friends do.

I really don't know what else to say really. Maybe chil out.

Edit : just read your later reply. Sounds like you had a hard time of it and Im sorry for that, Having said that I stand by my post.

Oh [expletive], that is horrible and makes sense for why it is a trigger for you. Insane that a place would treat a child that way.

I can say that is not the common experience.

Fortunately, in much of today's popular culture gamer/nerd/geek whatever you wanna call it has moved to mainstream. Almost everyone on the street is a gamer in some capacity. I'd like you to find one person who doesn't at least play some Facebook game (and yes, those count!) or wouldn't be totally willing to throw down on some Mario Kart 64.

But this brings us to the whole conversation going on in workplaces and college campuses today. Triggers. How far do we go to protect people's real and raw feelings? How much of our own personal freedom do we get to keep? How do we tear down debilitating stereotypes without bringing them up (usually laid bare through jest)?

Really, I want to be sensitive to your feelings, but at the same time I don't want to restrict free speech, especially when the intent is not malicious.
