Yes I also must admit after reaching the glorious isolation at Podar (Beagle Point did not feel isolated with all the fleet there ;)), starting to miss the bubble...

I have been playing the tutorials too, and sitting there on Podar's moon, i spent a good while looking at the systems around my home at Eravate. Thing is, before now I had not really explored the bubble itself or the local sites just outside it like barnard's loop! When i go back I want to map Federation Space and find nice outposts, maybe a new home system, and after that little trips to local nebulae will feel like a stroll in the park after this epic journey. DWE really changes your perception of what is far!

Anyway I am also looking forward to still seeing interesting new worlds on the return journey, especially the core (but i might stay a little further out with the plotting issues now). Every system in there was fascinating. Will prob hang round one more day at BP and then head off, its been great and I am sure I will sign up again for the next journey after a small break back in the bubble.

Absolutely agree. The points you list - the stations, the stuff to do in the bubble etc. - is what made me hesitate to join the DW expedition in the first place. I am happy I decided to come along, it was a hell of a ride, but now I can't wait to get home, to plunge into all the faction (and yes: Power) play again, to do missions etc. I am extremely looking forward to the improvements about personalisation that 2.1 will bring (especially about persistent NPCs with faces!), so I won't continue exploring and instead make haste back to inhabited space to be there once it goes live! :)

Engineers will be launch in June only, so you have at least 2 months to make it back - that isn't a rush!:)

Yeah the third planet is nice, it's also great for Germanium, Cadmium, and Nobium. Maybe I just got lucky but I found a lot of all three while prospecting there.

I want to be able to DO something with the data we've collected. I have all of these notes about terraforming candidates, planets with life, stellar phenomena, etc.

It has been awesome to see things, sometimes to be the only person that has seen them because of the vagaries of my route, but I want to be able to DO...

I scanned every star along the way to help other people know that it was the crossing and as I'm back at the bubble they should show up now. Afterwards though I found it a bit difficult getting back into the arm and had to veer eastwards quite a bit. Then I hit three permit zones. Praei2, Praei6 to the east of it and then Bleia something. I think it would be a good idea to extend the crossing a bit further for lower jump range ships if anyone feels up for it.

I'm on 34.18LY full-tank jump range.

Man, all you people with multiple accounts, where do you find the time? I can barely muster the time to play on ONE account! :D

Though I can see the appeal of it, but I kind of like having all of my Elite Space Commander Virtual Life being summarized in one account. It forces choices to be made and makes committing to large scale things even more exciting / fearful / final.




Part of me might be a little jealous though....

The trip has been nothing short of Epic, but this native is getting restless. Camping on one planet does not sit well with this explorer. Not even the arrival of superstar developer Ed can keep me from going on the road again.

All you guys have been excellent, thanks for a great time! May your stars be scoopable and your planets terraformable.

Alternate times, originaty, it was one in the bubble and one out exploring and then switch.
