Wow. That was quite a blast.

Thank you again for bringing me along on this trip. Made new friends, met new people, learned new things, saw new sights, and travelled further than I had ever travelled before. And you were all there with us. :)

A special thanks to Dr. Kaii for being the heart and soul of the whole event.

A very special thanks to Erimus, to whom every player owes a debt.

I'm starting to well up here now.

True, made my fourth yesterday (and no, not the fake one)

Ha ha I am trying to not get a fourth on this second account : )

So..... whats the news about the hero who tried to ram Dr. Kaii?
I think the news is, there will be no news.

And now for the weather, John?
Thanks, well since there's no atmosphere, the weather today again is non existent. Tomorrow it will be non-existent as well, with light showers of existential conundrums about my position as a weatherman.

Thanks for that John, and to all, a very good evening.

700,000 players in ED, with probably a few million more new players who'll play it in the future, yet less than 400 will ever be able to display that decal ;) o7

Woah, that's really an excellent point. I know this voyage is really special but that really exemplifies just how special. Awesome. Once I put it proudly on all of my ships I'll probably never take it off honestly...

Decals: woooah yesssssss thank you! I am never ever ever taking that cool decal off. Im even wearing the DW logo badge. Thank you for making this epicness even more epic! On a serious note I really do hope they (FD) make the decals a truly exclusive thing to the DW exped and that they will never be repeated.

That was some really cool news! Very much looking forward to "wear" it on my trusty Asp "Amaterasu" in December when we meet at way point 24 :D

That movement looks glitchy and lagged, so if that was the incident I think it must have been bad luck. I've checked my recording (mostly sitting in the arch looking at chat) and haven't got any collision in there, but there were some impossible leaping back and forth on the scanner. Another indication of the instance struggling a bit.

Afaik that was TheTenderiser01 (or similar, I can't remember 100%) and I'm sure I saw him after that point asking for invites to the Educating Ed group etc so I can pretty confidently say that was lag/glitch etc :)

Decals are nice, however the only persistence currently available (stations, planets, systems excluded) in ED is tags; which is why I'm leaving one of my CMDR's in the Black to see what it would take to tag a sector. Just a small one mind you, 1KLy*1KLy*1KLy'ish, nothing big. How many systems could there be? (will tell you in DWE 3305)

Yep, it happened in the formation flying too. Strangely though I didn't notice it too much when we made the Sag A star, maybe its just because we werent' moving around much then. :)

Depends on which sector. In the galactic rim they are about at 20Ly spacings so very roughly 50x50x50 to get a 3D grid making ~125,000 systems so I'd wager anywhere between 100,000 and 200,000.
On a core sector they can be as close as 3Ly so 333x333x333 making ~36,926,037 systems. With that many the error bar could be anything between 25 million and 50 million.

Yeah, the more there is the rougher the maths has to be but I'd say the estimates won't be too far out hopefully :p Let me know and keep counting :)
