Just a clip of someone thinking a corvette is invincible

I thought destroying a power plant no longer caused the ship to explode? Or is it now a % chance that it does?

Either way, it's good to see that even the new ships can be put to shame from the smaller, existing ones :)

I had PVP combat 2 days ago.
I have Cutter but this guy had Corvette.
It was a fair combat till i had to log out. Why?
1 more corvette and 2 imperial Clippers came to help that Corvette player and i had to run....
I did it normal way, juped out, but then one of them interdicted me in supercruise and destroyed my FSD (really smart move). So i had to relog.
What else... this guy in Corvette had Prismatic shields and fully A graded ship.
What do you think of this situation? Is it fair?

I will say this as gently as possible, but logging is definitely a craptastic thing to do. I get you were outnumbered and crippled (which I agree is brilliant strategy) but at that point should have taken you're lickings. I know it sucks to eat the rebuy, but quitting before being killed, even if getting ganked, simply encourages the practice. Really not trying to start an argument here, but there it is. Your post does kinda read like "I almost won then he had friends join, I would have lost, so I quit."

I think it all depends on how hard you hammer the rest of the ship during the process of brining down the Power Plant. With most of the big NPC ships I deal with, if I can get the Power Plant down to 0% health but the ship itself has a higher than say 10% total health, the ship will just go dark and sit there dead in the water. Sometimes they just blow up, but most of the time for me, they do go dead and stop moving.

I definitely like this change cause it seems more realistic than having them always blow up the second the plant gets to 0%.

HAHAHA YES! We've hunted this guy for a while. We've managed to destroy him a few times in his vette but most of the time he combat logs. He is 100% a griefer and is on our KOS indefinitely.

I only ever play in open on Xbox.

But I pretty much only fly in the backwater systems.

Nobody flies there. I like it there.

Day later me and RubberDuck managed to kill a logger Conda by.. lets say controversial means, but it sure did work.

They were just random players in HZRES site seeing a big battle and wanted to show off because they had no possibility to loose anything.
2 corvettes and 2 clippers vs 1 Cutter. Cool, lets kill that guy because now we can!
Moreover he attacked me first.
At least i learned something. If i will see another player group approaching then i will run defenitely as fast as i can!

i think if you shoot it enough it can explode randomly after it hits 0% but with 4 of us hitting his power plant it just went immediately, which is lucky as it didn't give much time to log

Ya you did get a bum deal. A little skirmish turned into one big pooch screw. I sure would have turned tail. Of course, I'm not much of a fighter so I don't think I'd have been in that situation to begin with.

Well eh.. not sure who I should give credit for it unless we're both ok with it Rubber. But one of us might've tried to do what the cops do with the ramscan tactic just in an unshielded Eagle and no scanner.
