Scanned while inside the station again. With video.

So i'm at Robigo waiting for the missions to refresh and you guessed it, I got scanned while docked and inside the station.. failing the 6 missions i had gathered so far. GG Frontier.

Yes i was in solo.

Did you check your scanner to see what kind of ship it was? Since Robigo doesn't actually have a security patrol, the cop must have followed you in. Strange thing is that a cop won't follow you unless you arrived with something illegal.

Not odd, the game is bug infested, but do they fix it - no they give you tread marks in the sand - Oh wow...

Well it is odd, the only way he can be scanned is if a Cop or another cmdr was involved.

Edit - Good point, no missions failure message appears..

What is even more odd is that his fuel reading is zero. That means he switched session, so a cop couldn't have followed him in. Without seeing his contacts page there is no way to figure out what happened.

i had just logged into the game and taken the missions, i havent gone anywhere i was just waiting for the missions board to reset.

Yes it was an NPC I was in solo so it wouldnt have been a player.

Yes good point on the no mission failure messages. When i clicked the 1 menu all the missions i had were failed though.

You really should be unscannable whils tinside the docking bay. I do wonder if this is FD's way of stopping people from stacking missions, though?

Once again, an example of mistaking difficult, and annoying. This sor tof thing is just annoying.

No. It's a bug. The AI doesn't recognise you are in a station and can 'see' you, hence triggering a scan. Often the AI then dies because it's boosted into the side of the station (SCAN SECURED, TEAM!) and will often explode due to catastrophic damage sustained. This is sometimes a scripted AI that's been spawned in, and not just the cops (pirates will scan for cargo).

It can happen inside a coriolis as well. It's very annoying, but until Frontier find out what pathing issue it is that triggers the incorrect AI behaviour, there isn't much we can do. To be fair, in the stupidly huge numbers of hours I have played ED, it's happened maybe once or twice that I can recall. It tends to be very rare.

The risk of smuggling. Bug or not.
It could've been worse. Failing 29 missions while you're waiting for the last one before taking off ;)

i take no more than 10 missions. As much as i want to wait for better missions, i dont have the enthusiasm to wait an hr to get missions due to all the bugs with the scanning and the other things that go wrong in the game. I've posted a handful of bug reports in the past 10 hours of gameplay.

Did you remember to post about this station who seems to be carrying out more people than their own population? Is Robigo a cloning facility or something?

I actually got a 44K fine last night and did not notice being scanned (I think I know which copper it was though!). Interestingly enough it did not fail either of my "fail on scan" missions.

This isnt a bug as far as I know, when in outposts you can still be scanned even when docked. Unless Robigo has no police (Im 30kly from sol at the moment) in which case it is odd

Sounds like you were stacking missions - something frowned upon by Frontier - and you found a possible bug.
Personally I'd rather Frontier fixed bugs that affected people not trying to "cheat". Or even added new features. I can see no incentive for them to fix bugs that affect people trying to exploit the game.
Just consider this an "occupational hazard" and stop whining....

I would like you to explain to me how 'stacking missions' is cheating. It really isn't. Swiching modes to pick up missions from and alternate game play mode is I agree and should be stopped but stacking? No. If I were a real smuggler, courier or whatever I'm quite sure that as long as I have space in my ship, car, motorcycle backpack or whatever then I could accept as many jobs as I see fit from an advert column which would make perfect sense if I were going that way in any case why not? Where is the cheating in that? The missions as a whole get more difficult due to extra ships trying to scan you the more missions you take on so whats the issue?
