Thrusters, I need more speed, not just boost, I would love to make my ship run a boost speed and hitting boost will give you just a small boost. Just enough to not hit the ground or slam into that rock.

Depends.
If the engineers can boost every piece of equipment without any negative side effects: NONE!
If upgrades DO have negative side effects or if they are mutually exclusive, then it's more likely to be all: one or a few for each type of ship/purpose.
Also hope these upgrades are not easily replaced. Gives ships more of a character... or a RPG choice if you want to call it that.

No issues with improvements to any onboard gear. Would be no different than a hot rod shop, but I'd like to see a negative to balance things.

Best boost you can get on a Cobra is about 460 m/s. A twenty percent bonus would take it to 552 m/s, but there should be a higher power demand or maneuverability hit to keep things in check.

- "Sharon and Steve" canopy decal (insert alternative names as appropriate)

Gavin and Tracey down my way, but then I do live in Essex...

I chose FSD, aside from the obvious to bring a bit more variation to Buckyball runs, but as others have said I really hope that there's some negative impacts to balance things out.

Rep if 4 or more of these ring bells from your youth! :D

I was that engineer.

But I will be looking forward to Mining mods.

Get an Imgur account - verify it and when you upload it gives you a load of links. Copy the BBCode and paste that in here.

EDIT When you upload the picture to Imgur.com you get the links - for clarity

Really? Oh I have something soooo cool and it was made by one of the engineers. But I cannot go through all that for a photo. Hehe, it's all good and thanks for taking the time.. Looking forward to the updates :)

Thrusters first. I want to collide with a station in my Clipper and cut the station in half. Especially those damn Coriolis. I hate you all, Coriolis!

Fsd jump range is something that I will never have enough of. I didn't go twice to Sagittarius A* just to have to travel inside the bubble at snail speed in non-explorer ships. Even more so in the corvette.

I have not idea what Engineer will bring to weapons, but I vote weapons.

I hope crafting will turn the existing PowerPlay weapons to bigger/smaller class, gimballed, as well as more powerful/efficient at the cost of some drawbacks...
...however I actually expect to be disappointed on the matter...

Thruster mods sounds the most fun to me. For lots of reasons:

-faster small ships. YAY! Hopefully smaller thruster modules ships get better upgrades, similar to how HRP scale.
-new engine sounds! Some people want green lasers. I just want my Asp to sound like a Keelback :)
-add agility to ships that sorely need it like the Viper and DBX

However I am worried that larger ships may become too nimble and able to target small ships with fixed C4 weapons.
