Thrusters for the Asp and Python...
Shields or Cargo space for the DBS
Chandeliers and an Aquarium (on the outside) for the Ferdie.... and an Orange Fedora big enough to fit over my space hat.

Are we even sure that these are the kinds of changes the engineers are going to offer?
I mean, FSD range is already dealt with using materials.
And the sneak peek just showed a change in the colour of the drive fumes. Could be all the engineer's stuff is just cosmetic or just sidegrades like in CQC.
If we don't get are hopes up too high, we are less likely to be disappointed.

FSD primarily. It's been my biggest complaint with the FdL both pre and post buff. Wouldn't mind boosting range on my other ships as well since the most wasted time in the game is jumping around.

After that, not sure. Guess it'll depend on each ship chassis. For some of my smaller ships, the PD will be the priority since more juice means boosting more often, and more weapon juice. For my bigger ships, probably thrusters.

Also waiting to see what comes with C3 and C4 weaponry since the ships I generally fly in combat have C3 and C4 mounts and they're pretty much an unknown at this point.

I'll employ as many of those wonderful engineers as I possibly can. Money is no object. Priorities are as follows:
FSD
Thrusters
Weapons
Shields
Scanners / Sensors

If nothing else this should show FDev what players are most keen to change ;) An overwhelming majority want to remove the tedium of honk jumping! I really hope they give us a meaningful upgrade though, and not just some small adjustment with a huge drawback.

Thrusters mate.

If I can get some proper speed out of my beloved Cobra Mk IV, I'll probably fly nothing else.

Enough speed & I may even sell most of my other ships, exceptin' the Sidewinder. (Exploration boat)

Having a greater range on the FSD is not going to make an appreciable difference on longer exploring trips, so your conclusion about removing 'the tedium of honk jumping' doesn't hold up.

this poll reminds me of TRIP, the chef engineer of Star trek Enterprise, every captain wanted him xD

Ho sorry dear god of the forum, for not having the same needs as you and not playing like you do :p

I cant wait to launch those one shot kills in supercruise from the new atomizer; those distance mushroom halos..ohh twill be sweet ;)

I have a feeling that a moded module will brake easyer and malfuntion more amd probably require more power, give out more heat and waigh more or some combo of these things depending on what you change.

I base this on the comment the braban said about the helicopters in vietnam being modded to take off quicker but as a result braking more. (And my hopes and dreams) :D

I also think that some modds will be RNG so ya never quite know what ya gunna get

Gosh I hope RNG isn't a factor.

I'd be livid if I did the same work to get modded thrusters as someone else, for the same ship, and theirs is better because luck.

It is highly unlikely that RNG will play a role in the Engineers' upgrades. They are being individually created, and there is a limited number of them. What is available to individual players may vary according to the players' standing/rank/allegiance.

"We engineers work to exactly macth your spec: Give us some money, and we'll do some random stuff, who knows what, then we'll figure out what we made, and give you whatever its specs are. Then we will deliver exactly on those specs! Guaranteed!" :)
(yeah, I hope not too. It doesn't bother me if someone else gets a better deal than me, but it does bother me if I'm spending my treasure and not getting what I wanted, or something skimpy)

I came up with the rng element based ona comment from ed during an interview.. I will look see if I can find it..

im not saying im right, im just saying that was the impression I got of top tier mods from that one comment.
