My ship is better than your ship!

:D

Especially when that Cobra turns and you can see it's wonderfully big profile that's so easy to scratch

Is that a Viper or a Diaper? I can never tell the difference!

Please take it easy with the onionhead. It is making you delusional.

Yes ,it is true you can boost and pitch very well but you'll need it too. Cobra vs FDL you havent got a chance to win. Your ship is ugly and mine has class. My shields are strong and I can double chaff too. My beams will eat your budget shields. My multicannons will tear your hull. My plasma will chase you down as you run away.

So run little cobra, run away with your badly damaged engines and live to fly another day. Thank the space gods for the kindess of this FDL CMDR and live to entertain this FDL CMDR in some other way.

Your Fat Dopey Lump is nothing more than an Adder after some panel beating and a spud gun taped to it's belly! :D

Anaconda owns Cobra anyday, hmm so does the FAS, hmm so does the Asp. Cobra is only good at one thing....

Being the enemy of G.I. Joe. :D

My Fer-De-Lance is sleek and sexy
Your Cobra resembles a barn with a jet engine and it has the cross-section to match one. Sure you get a slightly higher top speed, but it is only because your jet exhaust is boosted by the methane exhaust from the cows in that barn you fly.

The Cobra III is a great ship. It's relatively inexpensive and can do a little of everything.

I like my AspX as a multipurpose ship because while not quite as maneuverable and a little slower, it hits a little harder, is a bit tougher, and has a pretty ample cargo capacity.

You're all quite mad and will be first against the wall when the revolution comes. The Diamondback Scout is THE best ship in the galaxy, and every good pilot in the galaxy will agree with me.
For those who disagree, please assemble yourselves by a wall and wait while we expert pilots fetch our stealth guns. Thankyou.

I was assured by my Goa'uld overlords that the Python is in no way affiliated with a Goa'uld transport ship, and is in fact the best ship in the galaxy. And who am I to judge the voices in my head... Also the last Cobra Mk3 that scan rammed my Python kinda .. broke.

Not only is my Anaconda better than everyone else's, it's also bigger, at least that's what I find when I try to get out of the letterbox. Six Shield Boosters are just enough to exit unscathed.

That mailbox they bolted on the underside is a real pain in the rear when trying to exit. I know it makes it look like it's carrying starship troopers, but I have no idea what Faulcon was smoking when they said "Yeah, let's totally weld a cargo container on there".

You are all wrong. Anyone with even a single brain cell (which, being on the Internet, is not a given) will of course agree that only the eagle is the bestestest spaceship in the galaxy.

Birds of prey eat snakes all over the world, and as can seen in the higher speed of the Cobra even the developers think its only chance of survival is running away from the Eagle.

Don't get me wrong, some of the other ships are tolerable, for a while, even a champion needs someone to do the menial tasks.

If anyone (who qualifies, see above) still disagrees, the reason must be a mix-up of ship names, so here is a picture to clear any confusion:

The mods may now lock the thread, all that has to be said is said, and everyone is in agreement that the Eagle is by far the best ship ever.

*ducks and runs for cover*

Hmm... I'm thinking it really depends on what you wanna do...

A Cobra is not the best ship for anything (except, perhaps flying when you've had way too much to drink, as it's cheap to replace...

An Anaconda is only good at exploration (let's be honest, it's a rubbish fighter, you can't miss it; and for trading, it's made to look silly by the Cutter).

A Cutter is the best trader, by a mile, but not quite so good at exploration or fighting (unless you like a super tank).

A Corvette is not so good at trading or exploration, and is too slow and not maneuverable enough to be the fighting champ.

The Python is a multipurpose ship that really isn't good at anything, except landing at outposts.

The FDL and FAS (the best of the FGS, FAS, and FDS crowd) are the best at fighting, but poor at anything else...

Anything smaller are mere bugs on the windscreen, but bugs can be useful and best for missions, so are necessary too.

So, what is my choice of best ship? Well, that depends on what for!

I see we have some educating to do, very well, settle down and class shall begin...

Right, the first thing we need to do is establish why the Cobra MkIII is so much better than any of the other ships. I'd like you all to watch the following please, take notes, there may well be a quiz later.

Right, now to teach you why... DNA Decay, stop sticking gum in Aunties hair! Where was I, oh yes, I see several of you seem to think that the Annie is a contender well, let me tell you a little secret about that ship.

Not long after the first prototype was made a public information film was made but never shown. So bad was the ship considered to be that the film was sent back in time to 1982.

Now on to those poor people who think the Python is the best. As has already been pointed out the ship is actually an ancient alien vessel, these aliens were defeated by mankind back in the 21st century with basic guns and little to know ability to travel among the stars. Notice how mankind is still in charge on Earth? That's because the Python sucked then and 3,300 years have not changed that fact!

We should also spare a moment to think of those less fortunate than a Cobra MkIII pilot. The poor charity cases of the galaxy who are still stuck in 'Eagles'. Interesting fact about that ship, it was originally going to be called the Budgie but in a strange translation mix up it ended up being an called an Eagle despite it being good tapping bells and tweeting in mirrors! :D

NOTE: Excellent posts so far folks keep them coming!
