Is there anything that shows you what all the guages and what not are? I've figured out most of them, but I can't figure out what that indicator to the top left of my ship holo is. Its a circle with graduated crosshairs and a red line in it.

If I'm not mistaken it shows the direction to the closest point of reference, i.e. planet or station.

I was kind of hoping it was a velocity vector indicator. Would be a handy thing to have.

I think the "space dust" is supposed to replace it. This way you keep your eyes on what matters (what happens outside), rather than on the HUD.

It's also a nod to the compass in Elite, which would show a thick bar (can't remember the colour) for the space station/planet if it was ahead (outskirts of system you'd only get the planet), and where then narrow bar when it's behind you.
