You people are still rambling on! Once you go FDL, you don't go back
while all ships are nice to look at, there is only one Executive ship in the game!!! All else are for bus drivers, delivering supplies, people or wishing they owned the FDL.
And yes, I cannot jump out of my own way in the FDL!!!!
The reason the FDL has such a small jump range is because of the weight of the Executive's EGO!!

The Python can do everything, from Haz RES to Smuggling, to bulk trading, and it can do it all without having to visit the outfitters. And it looks badass.
The only hing that will make it better will be the ability to put 3 large multi cannons on it!

We can say this, because no one can agree that if the Cobra III is not the best; what ship, is the best. There are many alternatives mentioned here, but nothing gets the public backing, like the Cobra. Many have been put forward, all very good in there own roles, but none equal the Cobra, for its diversity and appeal.

I stand by my earlier "horses for courses" post... however, for scouting about, doing the occasional mission, checking the local BGS, the Cobra Mk III is my ship of choice (even though I have several others to choose from, including all the "best" from my previous post). It's a good poodler

You speak of delusions good sir, yet neglect to mention which ship has dominated the Cobra in 3 out of 4 official Elite games (2, 3, and ED) in everything but hauling BioWaste.

Then you have seen the truth. You can still be saved, if you sell your failed attempt of a space ship and get yourself a nice eagle.
You even get some credits back to use on illegal booze in epsilon indi.
Not over keen on the Eagle, but I do fly an Imperial Eagle sometimes, which has been known to take out a Cutter.
Then I won't like it anymore out of spite.
To be fair, any ship in the entire game that can turn faster then the cutter with its 21 LY turning radius can take it out.

I remember reading once... well, more than once really, that the best reason for buying a viper is that you can't afford a cobra.
I thought it was FUD til I flew one. Took me about 10 minutes to get back in a cobra. Even with it's dodgy hardpoint placement, ... hell even with no hardpoints at all, it'd be better than a viper.

I had a Federal Drop Ship for a while, but I cannot remember much about it. This was due to a problem with the two drinks machines. One only had Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, while the other just gave Klatchian Red Mountain Coffee. I was always either seriously drunk, or severely knurd! Either way, my brain has scarred over the memories of this time.
