cheep cutters

So the take home message I get from this is that if you have access you may as well just go to Jameson Memorial. Lets face it by the time you've earned the cash and rank to buy a Cutter you will more than likely be Elite in something

Not exactcly. I,ve owned a Cutter for awhile and I'm not Elite at a thing, although near at some...

It is true that by the time I hit Duke I had a decent amount of cash to purchase and outfit it.

If you've reached Duke, then you should also be close to Elite trade rank. Push for Elite trade rank and then you can buy at Founders. Pushing for Elite trade rank will also give you the cash for outfitting and rebuys.

Yep thats sound advice , by the time i hit duke i was around 40% through tycoon and could afford class 8 prismatics and A rated modules ... though i think by the time i hit elite trade (currently 68% tycoon) i will be able to afford a corvette and have it almost fully A rated.

Depends - I made Duke doing mostly Confidential Data Mission (I like them) and I'm not even at Tycoon. If they took a load of charity mission they could be really low on Trade but good advice for anyone close to Elite on any level.

EDIT - Ninja'd :D

That offer may well be back soon. Tricky part is holding onto the ship. ;)
I never needid it to begin with. But 146m and a few nice upgrades (also mostly 30% off) later i don't want to sell it again. Actually i have just about every good ship available for every kind of job :D The Cutter is a verry good large cargo hauler to me.

OP: part of Cutter Ownership is ostentatiously displaying your complete lack of conservative values.

The Cutter tells the universe that you care deeply about assisting others in the voiding of their debts.

Searching for discounts is a peasants errand... You know, the task of an individual that you may be transporting at some point ;-)
