How to use the spiteful creativity of 'gankers' for the improvement of the game

A Cutter? You're imperial royalty?

What kind of pirate is imperial royalty? Is this another one of those "During the day, he's a Something or Other in the Imperial Navy, but at night, he turns into a ruthless pirate. Day or night, he's always furry though"

Madness.

Us decadent Imperials often find quirky and weird ways to get our kicks out of life :p

Nice rig, and I respectfully salute your principles.

In your expieriance (I've never really pirated - love to blockade run) would the whole piracy thing not be whole lot more challenging and hence more fun if you did it something a little less immortally protected and equiped? That rig won't catch me but something smaller/faster may be more entertaining for both parties.

This is not a taunt - just a geniune question of interest to me.

Well, from experience, when I first started pirating, things were good, traders didn't combat log like crazy. Sure, I could have used some BHers on my rear, that would make things more exciting, but since we were constantly fighting certain player groups one or another, we were pretty occupied. There were good RP left and right.

Then came boredom to the older playerbase, some quit the game, some play the game less, and some directed that boredom into doing silly things. Everything went downhill then, people begin to combat log to no end and people started to "less morally" poking at helpless Cmdrs.

So right now all I hope is a reformed crime and punishment system that really fix the trader/pirate/bounty hunter triangle at least slightly.

Also, I don't only pirate in a Cutter, my Clipper is used when I want to go after smaller targets.

Hope this answers the question, basically, yes, I would like to see some challenge, but before that, make player piracy relevant and functional, otherwise I might as well play with NPC and pirate them, at least they don't magically disappear.

This is what happens when all the best piracy ships are faction-locked... :/

More like what happens when you can be in both navies at the same time while having the highest bounty in multiple systems owned by them and controlled by thier powers, who you actively fight against by pledging to a pirate lord, or the leader of the alliance.

Nice ship. Fit a cargo scanner and some hatch limpets and it will be a pirate ship.

If I became a notorious pirate fitting those items, it would become common knowledge that I would explode with one volley of missiles from a type 6. :D

Atm, I am just trying to have a little immersion with a tiny cargo return, not done it many times but I have been combat logged on almost every time, the other times they high waked. :D
