I would like to share a nebula/poi that I discovered.

Hi, CMDRs. On the way back from Beagle Point I picked a random bit of space east of the core and stopped to see if there was anything interesting there. Around the 30k line and -500 elevation I started to find undiscovered planetary nebulas. One of them was a little bit different.

WEPOAE XT-A E4315 NEBULA.

It is a rather pretty little nebula with a black hole at the centre, but no other bodies in the system.

There is something a little different here though. There is a second star in the nebula, .5ly from the black hole.

This second system grants spectacular views looking into the nebula. Ones not often seen as you are usually at the centre of a PN or in a system outside it. Hopefully this comes across in the poorly assembled panorama shot below.

So that's it. It's well worth a look if you're in the area. I left a fair bit unscanned in the second system so that other CMDRs can sign the galactic visitors book.

Lastly, here is an album of all the planetary nebulas I found on the way home.

Nice nebula! Very pretty.

Its this undiscovered beauty that makes the long lonely months spent out there in the black more worth while.

Very nice!

As a side note... man, they should really overhaul the visuals for black holes. They're still looking pretty lame compared to Space engine and Universe sandbox.

Nice find!

There is something a little different here though. There is a second star in the nebula, .5ly from the black hole. I think this is why it is actually named as a nebula on the galactic map, unlike other PN that I have visited.
I think they are all called nebula on the galmap, but it gets truncated from systems with longer names. Eg looking at another of your finds, Umbaists WY-A e7528, the galmap shows it as "Umbaists WY-A e7528 Nebu".

Add it to the galactic mapping thread and it'll be included in the next map update as a POI :)

Will do. Thanks. :)

Nice find!

Oh yeah. Thanks for the clarification, will amend the OP :)

Great discovery! Congrats! :D

Although in the future please link to a imgur album or hide the images in spoiler tags. For some reason this thread nearly killed chrome haha ;)

Oops. Sorry, mate. Added spoiler tags for less chrome killing.
