A new kind of griefing?

So I was coming into Founders World earlier in my shield-less taxi Hauler and noticed that there was a commander coming in behind me in an Anaconda. He was about 500m behind me when I got a message saying that a fuel limpet had attached! He filled up my tank as I was going through the doors! It was non-consensual fueling in an open environment ! ;-)

So, is this a thing? Or did I just meet a rogue fuel rat?

I don't know, don't you think assuming someone using a fuel limpet on you that can't do any damage nor cause any inconvenience griefing is a knee-jerk reaction?

An alternative view could be that s/he was griefed by your non communicated appreciation of that act, albeit consensual, but choosing to play in the open you have declined that luxury.

Oh dear... apparently some have taken me seriously.. I thought I'd made the irony nice and obvious too..

Nah, he just had too much fuel on board, and had to dump some before the station would let him land. Rather than spray it in space (and be fined for littering or worse), he decided to give it to somebody who could make use of it. At least he did not try to park the Anaconda in your cargo bay!

The worst type of griefing: griefer does something good to his victim.
