Was asked the other day what being a Hutton Trucker is all about?
It's about a group of people who are silly enough to fly to Hutton to buy Gin and Mugs. It's the kind of crew who listen to Hutton Orbital Radio and like the audio plays. We're the sorts of players who are advocates of PwP. People who take rares to Beagle Point and Saggitarius A* "for the hell of it". The kinds of players that if doing the do in Dongkum is needed, lay their ships on the line to support Skiprat. Racers who will happily drive up to 25 hours across a planet surface, only to find that 4 people are waiting to guide you through the dark
Players who will drop everything to help friends that you've never met.
The kinds of people who will happily meet a new player at Hutton, load them up with rares and then escort them to their destination for the pure fun of sharing their game time with like minded individuals.
The sorts who would go to Lavecon, Elitemeet and Fantasticon and WORK to make the event better for everyone else and get joy out of other people having fun.
We aren't exclusively Truckers. There are players here from the Empire, Federation (even daresay an Alliance member or two). Powerplay pledged and not.... Frogs and Rats and Paladins. Even a Code member and SDC pilot or two. XBox and PC. Even the odd Mac.
We have players from the UK, mainland Europe, Scandinavia, the US, the Far East, the Antipodes and many more besides.
So. Don't forget. Chill out, have fun, share that fun and if you have an idea, or a song, a poem or some silliness you want to share on the radio..... Just shout! (We even let Hober sing live on the radio.....)

So - this Powerplay lark and the new player faction?
We decided not to try and become a power.... Nor officially join another group? Why???? We're great truckers and are all about helping.
Did you not see where we are? Next to Sol?
We felt that it would put us into conflict with people that are friends. That's not cool. SO....
We will be helping player groups, we will be broadcasting Party Political Broadcasts, we will be hosting a leaders' debate on the radio station. There are those that have been long standing friends, and it would be rude of us not to help them. However, if the gig is fun we might just join in for giggles.

Yup. One small letter different. None of this v nonsense. Even when engaging in combat. For us.... this game is about who you share the space WITH - even if it is at the end of a beam laser. Mining together, fighting together, trucking together, exploring together, racing together. Can you spot the common word there.....?

There's a diary on there. It has things to do. They're optional.

In the last month, we had one new player saying "how do I get a mug?" - we said "do something challenging and awesome and fun". He went and bought one of each rare in ALPHABETICAL order and flew them to Hutton. There are very few mugs left, but for rising to the challenge, we did indeed send him a mug. A real one.
Oh - we even had a song written.
