1v1 Corvette v Corvette [PvP Video] No rules last vet standing

Ever wonder what would happen if you filled up a Federal Corvette entirely with SCB and fought against another Corvette with also filled entirely with SCB? Me neither, but I found out when I agreed to a duel with legendary BBFA Corvette pilot CMDR Tomski. No rules, last vet standing wins. Both of us push our corvettes to the limit, and even though the fight lasts over 30 over minutes, we both lose shields at nearly the same time.

If you love lasers, multi-cannons, and big ships, grab a drink and strap in.

Hmm, why only 2 A0 Shield Boosters? I'd expect you having at least 4 of these...

Good question. The utility slots were harder for me to decide on than my weapons for this fight. Extra shield boosters aren't giving me any extra recharge, and they take up a slot for valuable heat sinks/chaff, so I wanted to take as few boosters as possible to have adequate shield strength. Shield boosters also take up a lot of power, which can potentially make your SCB more difficult to use.

2 shield boosters with a class 7 shield gives me 1000 MJ of shields, and my strongest banks used during the fight was 2x 6A = 700 MJ. So even my most powerful SCB will not overcharge my shields as long as they are at 1 ring when I use them.

As for the remaining 6 slots, I choose to go 4 heat sinks/2 chaff. 4 heat sink launchers is the minimum amount I could get away with, as I needed at least 15 heat sinks to use 5 charges of 2x 6A banks, and 10 charges of 7A banks. That leaves me with 1 extra heat sink to use the remaining 5A and 4A SCB (this means I got my modules slightly cooked towards the end). I took 2 chaff since I knew tomski was going to be using gimballed weapons. I only get 10 chaff per slot, but I figured it would buy me enough free shots on tomski to make up for the MJ I lose by not having additional boosters.
