Powerplay Faction: Zachary Hudson can someone explain Okinura to me

"If you prep Okinura, may death come swiftly." -- Manwhale

this appears every week and I don't understand it at ALL!
im new to caring about powerplay but Okinura comes up every time why don't we want this system?

Well Okinura is a really bad system for us. The "potential profit" numbers for new systems in the game don't consider that we also have to pay overheads of ~62CC for every system, so Okinura would give us -31 income if we got it. Additionally it also contests 8 systems of the other Fed power Winters, so if we expanded into Okinura they would lose the income of those. Okinura has also good sides though, it's the HQ system of the EDF a big Fed player minor faction, just not a good system from PowerPlay aspects.

Honestly probably all systems on the Hudson prep list would be bad ones if the organized players wouldn't push them down so Okinura isn't a big exception. We have some history with the system though, many Hudsonites remember Okinura from a cycle not to long ago where we had to push merits worth more than four billion credits to get it off the prep list:

Also i really wonder where does the 5C get all those creds to dump ridiculous amounts at Okinura.

I am not saying its the Robigo exploit.
But it's the Robigo exploit.

who are the 5c and why would they want to go against the established authority?

I "Believe" the 5C is "5th Columnists". From the way I'm reading it, they mean players who join PP for the Benefits
not to help advance it. That's why you'll see Groombridge fortified over 2000%. It's close so they can
take the Mil Goods from Nanomam and only 1-2 jumps there to drop off for the Merits. They will also fight in Okinura
because it's real close, even tho it will never be part of Hudson's Domain.

I'll admit that I was part of that mindset for the 1st few weeks while I was trying to figure things out.
Now I'm "attempting" to play it as it was intended.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes that and it may also refer to people with billions of credits in their pockets and an agenda in mind, i don't know which one is worse.

Don't get me wrong i am all for sabotage but i think this game deserves a more tactful and smart way to do it.

Those would be more along the lines of Traitors. Not unlike the wing I read about that entered
a Hudson Exp Zone and attacked a Hudson player there.
What I don't agree with in that incidence is the fact that we are not supposed to name Names!
I think any Traitor should be ID'd, then hunted down like the Scurvy Dogs they are and eliminated,
repeatedly, till they leave the Faction. But I guess we have to be PC even here. :[
