Overall I think the mission improvements will be a huge positive for the game (along with all the other tweaks and additions). Some will be disappointed with no chained missions 'yet' and not near the penultimate goal of appearance of personal story-line missions. But very good to hear FD will keep working towards chained missions and military career missions as mentioned several times now.
It was nice to get a snippet of thought/detail behind how complex the mission system is, with thousands of mission givers and millions of system variables to deal with like Hutton Orbital. A more detailed article on that would be cool, but I guess FD don't want to share any recipes from the kitchen. As the link in my signature says, making video games is hard.
Also, the Engineers base just looked great, the lighting looked improved and little touches like the red and green lights on the pads stood out. Also, new assets in game are always nice and much appreciated.
Glad to hear about missiles being buffed back up. 'Get point defense ready again.' And a counter to SCB with Railgun energy cascade, great.
Finally, really appreciated that Adam answered quite a lot of questions and that Sandro and MB even answered some. The videos and banter are nice too, but getting a lot of questions in makes it all the more clear where we are now and where we are headed.
Nice to hear a new approach with mission timers and inclusion of a Starter mission (optional) for new players (thanks Adam, for squeezing that one in at the end, and as it was from a longer post of mine so I know you had to read through all the rambling).
