Orbital Cruise mechanic for Stations, Beacons, Rings.

Who here would like to see the horizons orbital cruise mechanic incorporated to making supercruise approaches to locations other than planetary bodies more seamless. Call it "Approach Mode" or "Terminal Cruise" or somesuch, but I think a variation of this flight mechanic would help with these transitions.
 
I whould like a Transistion-Mode, rather than the actual "Teleport-Mode" and so a CMDR could try to get in the right Spot to drop out. Or maybe can slightly control the dropoout distance, by good flying ;-)

Yes, that would be a nice change. Slow down the ship more during approach and start to connect with the instance. The closer the ship gets to the station, the slower it gets, until it finally drops out. As long as the internet connection isn't completely broken this should allow much smoother transitions. The game knows where the player wants to drop out anyway because the station will be selected in the navigation panel, so it could start with the connection before the player even presses the button for dropping out of supercruise.
 
I have thought the same thing. It would be visually pretty cool too! You could drop from 15-20km and "cruise" untill 8km. Please FD do it for 2.2!

Could defenitely be worth it, these approachings in Space are really simple... plopp it's here and Plopp it's gone
