Ohohoh daaaamn..

I can taste salty tears! Imagine if some players have to try and get by an pilot skill rather than SCB? Sure maybe a bit OP, but there is a limited window to firing this weapon and in the heat of the moment that might get crazy. I doubt that this is something that will tip the scales too much.

Looking at this weeks newsletter, it looks like a lot of these 'special weapon effects' are some what random side effects of engineers upgrades, in that you are not always guarenteed to get them.

As I understand it, after reaching the necessary reputation for an Engineer, he/she can perform upgrades on your systems/weapons, but these have a random element to them (it may not work at all) and occassionally you get a random special effect:

I forsee so much butthurt and complaining! :p

Oh, here's the full newsletter for those that missed it:

I'm sure the pew pew crew will love it...meanwhile, back at the ranch... the rest of us will be exploring well out of your way :)

Craftable FSD Boosts say hello.

Aye, I must admit that at least FDev are giving those of us not interested in pew pew some other toys to play with to offset all this uberweapon silliness. I really hope they lock them behind something harder and more grindy than the quest for Cutter.

Open mode will become Eve online (with cockpits) with the rest of us in PG or open trampling around on airless moons taking nice screenshots...

Yeah let's look over the fact that the missle rack still did absolutely nothing.

It did some pretty serious module damage, and he wasn't even targeting any subsystems.

This. People seem to be forgetting the fact that you're going to have to earn these mods and it might be hard/impossible if you're aligned with a certain faction.

K I'll just keep mining in ice belts to myself. Or the new galaxy map features.

Quit acting like people who don't like to pew pew are completely forgotten about. Not like you're pirates [rolleyes]

Oh so it's all RNG-based? Oh joy, can't wait to get screwed over by that.

RNGesus and I have a love-hate relationship.

I'm really looking forward to that one... long overdue and very pretty mining to boot :)

That reminds me; the new system states filter is more than just a "conflict zone pewpew" finder. Plus CG markers. Custom "bookmarks".

And the Regeneration Beam is a thing now...

Keep in mind guys that there will be mods for all modules as well, so i am pretty sure there will be counters to alot of these weapon mods. It will come down to what counter measure you have equiped.

Not sure why that's aimed at me but I'm sure there's a vid of the upcoming changes to missiles on their YouTube go look, they're tweaked to do more damage to external modules such as weapons chaff etc well anything external

Yeah, they've become a module killer. Which will make Pack-Hounds actually useful.

Since no ones linked it yet, I will. Probably the most hilarious upgrade coming with The Engies;
