Aliens Possible?

Full disclosure: I'm a Thargoid wearing a Human. I like your society better, and your ships are fun to fly. So low-tech, I don't have to manipulate a tesseract with my mind or anything...

It would be cool if Frontier took a cue from Mass Effect, and make some awesome looking species that we can visit. Also it would be nice to have citidals to walk on foot to talk to the fellow pilots and alien races. Like a hub to chat and sale stuff to others.

This. I always said if there's one thing I'd add to ED from another game, it would be most of Mass Effect. They go together so well.

Mass Effect is great game. But all aliens in that game was human-like with different faces.... I don't think it will be good for elite

It really is a tricky conundrum. What's less likely? being the only intelligent life in a 400 billion star system galaxy, or coming across some sort of alien?

I'm quite happy the way Frontier Developments are playing it just now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there is alien species already right? Like humans colonized planets with life already on them. We just haven't found intelligent life yet.

The rat people are still around...they just help unlucky pilots stranded in the darkness of space without fuel now. :)

I seem to recall that even the original Elite had references to varying intelligent species in those wonderfully sarcastic planet descriptions, although you never actually met them in-game. This version has life-forms referenced in the description of some water worlds and gas giants. I still think that it will come down to three species though... Human, Thargoid and something worse than Thargoids......
